trying again to write my TR..My kids 1st trip to Disney

I am going to try this again. I had waited too long the 1st time and was not able to finish on the original thread, I will finish this time around I am going to copy and paste what I had before and maybe add a few pics here and there.

Our dates were 4/16-4/23.
The people who went:
Me, DH, DS6, DD4, SIL, BIL, Nephew2, FIL and my MIL. I know I have to be careful what I post since I don't know who is reading and since I have pictures..If anyone recognizes us I can get into trouble for things I want to or DO say. BUT this trip didn't go as well as Me and SIL had wanted due to the fact that my MIL came. I will post reasons in my TR.
Me, DH, DD and DS stayed at the POR and everyone else stayed at the POFQ.
We also all had the Deluxe dining plane and I got in on the free Park hopper/waterpark option. I have to say that the water park option is a waste of money so I am glad it was free.

here it goes

4/16. We got a Limo to pick us up since there were 9 of us going. The limo came at 8am and took us to the airport.

DH and DD in the Limo. This will be the LAST good Iced Coffee until we return from the trip(in DH's hand).



Kids on the plane for their 1st plane ride. We went from Boston to Miami and then Miami to Orlando



Now we are on the plane from Miami to Orlando (I know..boring plane pictures)








So after we get there DH, BIL, FIL, DS and nephew all went to get the car rentals. MIL, me, SIL and DD went on the Magical Express. We took this so we didn't have to worry about the luggage. per ME, as long as 1 adult from your party is on the bus, they will take all the luggage. I love this one of DD. she is SOO excited we are on the way to the hotel.

Next..getting ready and heading to the Pirate and Princess Party

So we all get ready and go to the P&PP. We got there around 8pm and it was not busy at all (I didn't think so)

DS in his Pirate Costume. It was chilly this night so the kids have clothes under the costumes.



DD just wore a frilly type dress since she was wearing the Cinderella dress the next day for the BBB. Here is my DD,DS and nephew. I picked this one because I don't know if my SIL wants pics of her DS on the internet..so this is a side view of him



now after this picture the hats came off. I had ordered a basket for each of the kids and had the hats in the basket..well DS's name was spelled wrong and on the front of DD's hat the 2nd "S" in the word Princess was NOT embroidered on it. Oh well..I am returning them and she will have them fixed and sent back.




We got there in time for the parade. we got front row. When my DD saw the Princesses for the 1st time she said "it's a miracle" and my DS was in awe when he saw the castle lite up.

After the parade we went looking for a place to eat..we were all STARVING!. we went to Cosmic Rays. then there was a Chip and Dale dance Party. the kids loved it and the woman hosting is kept them going.






Then off to Mickey's house and to see Princess Minnie and Princess Daisy. I have better pictures with the Photo pass. When I get that I will add those pictures.
When my DD saw Mickey's Kitchen she said "gee Mickey is messy" LOL

The Kiddos. DD's Denim jacket was pretty cool on the back. It has a pic of Minnie air brushed on the back and Minnie signed it for DD. She thought that was pretty cool

So still on Day 2

Thursday 4/17

We had appointments at the BBB. When I say we, I mean DD, DS, me and my SIL.
here are a few of the kids. you can't really see the confetti in DS's hair.

Here we are waiting for our CRT ressies. DH, DD and DS





SO we go to our lunch ressie and the kids are told that they get to have their pictures with Cinderella.




The food was OK. I got the Turkey Foccacia I didn't really care about the food, I wanted to go so the kids could experience lunch in the castle.

The Princesses came right around.










So after lunch we were all exhausted so we went back to the hotel pool. I really like the pools at the POR and POFQ. they are not that deep. I think the deepest area is 4ft? Are all the hotel pools like that?

We had dinner ressies at Boat rights for 7:40. This was not a good experience. Even though we got there at 7:30, and they told us that they were cleaning off our table and it would be just a couple minutes, they gave our table of 9 away to a party of 7. and at 8pm when I checked again for the 3rd time (since they were supposed to only be cleaning the table) that's when they checked that we had arrived (you can see it on the slip they put on the table for the server)..I was not happy. They gave us a buzzer and we didn't get seated until 8:15! Now for some that is NOT a long wait BUT with a 2,4 and 6 YO, it was a lifetime!

Our waitress was supposedly the best. if she was I didn't want to see the worst. She was really slow. The food was adequate.. Nothing great.. But, it took forever. My SIL and I both have worked in the restaurant business and know that you can have a bad night. MIL didn't care that we had ressies for breakfast a few days later. She complained to the manager and got the gratuity removed from our bill. There was no way I was leaving w/out tipping. waitress was slow but friendly. I said (in front of MIL) "I waitressed before, there is NO WAY I am walking out with out leaving her something" so my SIL and I each gave her 20.. Just the beginning of MIL complaints!


Next..Chef Mickey's and a LONG day at Epcot. dinner at Le Cellier.

our ressies were at 10:30. We met SIL, BIL, MIL, FIL and nephew there. we check in and they took us over for a picture..for some reason I can't remember who ended up with it.
We get to the table and the Characters were coming around.
Goofy was 1st but the picture didn't come out.

then came








Today we decided to go to Epcot. So on the monorail we go. We have to go to the transportation center and then get on another monorail to Epcot.

This day it was VERY hot! MIL pretty much complained the whole day that she was melting..With all the makeup she put on, it made her look like it! Even though on the first day we arrived she realized that WDW doesn't really do Iced Coffee, she still asked for one about every hour..

We got to Epcot and walked a around a little. The line wasn't too bad for The Seas with Nemo & Friends. so we went into that. the kids loved it. After that we went to Turtle Talk with Crush. I thought that was cool for the kids. my DD was sitting on the floor in front of me and she kept turning to me saying "I don't want him to ask me a question" LOL
They have an area there with Sting rays and info on sea animals. Here are the kids with "Bruce"

Then we decided to go to "Honey, I Shrunk The Audience" It was OK.. kind of freaked my kids out. They are not big on the things that make it feel like something is running under your feet (we did a couple of these things).


So after, we decided to walk into the World Showcase. At this point we were getting hungry and our dinner ressies were at 7:40..this was about 2 or 3 ish. My poor nephew had a melt down (he is only two and he did really good this trip). We 1st walked by this






So my kids played there for a little bit. then we found a bench near where they sell Mickey D's and we got a little something for the kids.


DS on this random Donkey. I can't for the life of me remember where this was



DS with the "beast" DD wanted nothing to do with him...LOL



MIL kept complaining about the heat and would keep leaving to find a place to smoke..now if I have NOT mentioned this before, She was diagnosed with the beginning stages of Emphysema an COPD..and she lies about how much she smokes..she should NOT be smoking but tells everyone she smokes 3 a day..BUT she had about a pack just this day alone!

So before the dinner ressies DH and SIL wanted to try to ride Test Track. It was a 30 minute wait for single riders..so they went. Near Test track there is a Cooling off area where the water sprays.It looks like a car wash. I let the kids play in there for a while and I brought my nephew in. they all loved it and it felt nice to cool off. Then while we were still waiting we went into Mouse works. I needed to get a sweat shirt. I had a tank on and I was gross. we all looked like carpola and I wanted to cover up for our dinner.

After DH and SIL got out of Test track we got our wrist bands for the Extra Magic hours and headed to Le Cellier.

What kind of dress is your daughter wearing on the first day? I really like it...it's green, my favorite color! Does it belong to a character I don't know about or did you buy a regular princess type costume from somewhere?
