Every day of our trip TL is listed as an EMH park. The standard opening time listed is at 9. Am I getting this right--does this mean TL opens at 8 every day? Has anyone used EMH at TL or BB? We have an old "plus" from our tickets last trip and we have been saving it for a trip to TL this time, but we like getting there early and getting a spot by the wave pool.
Thanks so much!!

I'm interested in the answer to this question as well. While I keep hearing about it I can't seem to find anyone who has actually used it.

We did in March. They did check resort ID's and give wrist bands. TL was empty. The kids were excited to have the park to themselves. I'm sure in the summer it will not be that way. It will open at 8:00.

We used this in May. TL opened at 9:00 (normal operating hours were 10:00) they asked for our resort ID's and we were through. It was like being in the park all alone, my kids loved it. If you are early risers make sure to take advantage of this perk. :yay:

We went to Blizzard Beach for the EMH morning. It was great. The line for the ski lift was very short and we were able to ride it to the top several times in a row. None of the areas were crowded and we did a lot of activities in that time.

I'm hoping to use the evening EMH when we are there in July. Has anyone tried this and was it significantly less crowded? I know when we have been there in the summer before TL often closed due to capacity by 10 or 11 AM and reopened around 2 or 3, so I'm hoping after about 5:00 it will be emptier.

DH and I did this in May. TL opened at 10 and at 9 if you had EMH wrist bands. It was completely worth it, the lines were nothing and we did almost all the rides we wanted to do in that one hour. It left us with the rest of the day to enjoy the lazy river and the fabulous wave pool.

We did Morning EMH at both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach last week. We got there early enough to Typhoon Lagoon to be the first resort guests there so our youngest got to be the Big Kahuna. Wait times were wonderful. We did everything at least once and Crush n Gusher twice by 10:30 am. :cheer2: Then we hung out at the wave pool for another hour. The hours were 9-6 but with EMH it opened at 8 am

Blizzard Beach was more crowded earlier, however we were still able to do all the slides except the little kid stuff and be out of the park by 10:30. When we left the wait for the ski lift wasn't bad but the wait time for Summit Plummit was 40 min. :cloud9:

I was going to do Evening Hours at Typhoon Lagoon our last trip, but we were tired by then, and had a drive home in front of us.

They've only started the evening hours recently, so a lot of people don't know about them, meaning they really aren't crowded. They do the wrist bands, just like the regular parks. Just ask at the entrance where to pick them up.

On our last trip May 2006 we went to the water parks three times and used EMH all three times. The first time was at TL while we were standing in line a Cm was checking resort Id and giving out wrist bands then we went into the park. The next time we went to BB and when we were going through the turnstlye they checked resort id and gave you a wrist band. If you don't have your resort ID card(room Key) you will be turned away and made to wait the hour before the park opens. We love the EMH we had great spots for the day and its all about the good sitting spot at the water parks :beach:

This sounds great! So I am HOPING the busses at the resorts will be leaving early enough to make it to TL by 8AM? Is that the experience from you guys?

We did EMH in April at both waterparks and the buses left in plenty of time. We usually ride all the slides first (park was virtually empty for a couple of hours), then saved the wave pools and lazy river for later in the day when it started getting more crowded and lines start forming on the slides.

My DS(7) however loves the Lazy River first thing. He dons his goggles and dives for money. Lots of people throw or lose change in the Lazy River. He makes $7-$15 per day by doing this. Best places to check are near bridges, entry points, and right past the water jets (seems to get stuck under the currents for some reason).

I didn't realize they have evening hours. Does anyone know where I can find out that information?

TIA

Thanks Sandi.

They don't have the evening hours in Sept. :( It's hard for us to wake up early to take advantage of the morning hours.

We did both parks last week. We were a little late getting to the TL EMH, arrived by 8:30, but we were able to do Crush n Gusher multiple times and most of the slides with little or no wait. On another day, got to BB before the 8am opening. Had no wait for the ski lift and we were able to do TeamBoat Springs at least twice at the beginning. Again, we did most of the slides with little or no wait. The lines started to lengthen around 10:30-11, when the crowds got heavier. Definitely worth getting up early to do EMH with these two parks.

As for the bus, our driver stated they start pickups around 7am, but the Disney brochures state bus service starts 45 minutes before park opening. To make it to BB at 8, we made sure we were at our bus stop at 7:15 with the hopes of being on a bus by 7:30. It worked out as planned.

Enjoy!
