In January I started running-for the first time in my life! I wanted to go back to Disney and I heard that
Free Dining was going to coincide with the Wine & Dine Half. At first I was thinking of doing the 5K but ended up doing the Half Relay (I did the 4.8 mile portion). I used the race to convince DH that I needed to go back to Disney! It was a HUGE motivation to me. Once I found a race partner (here on the DIS) - I had to keep running, when I booked my room - I had to keep running, when we registered for the race - I had to keep running. If I didn't have those tangibles forcing me to stick with my goal I would have likely quit. Several times over.
In spring after losing 10 lbs running, I decided if I did weight watchers I'd probably lose more. It's funny how when you actually pay attention to what you're eating & how much that you can lose weight! So the other 30 has been done with running & WW.
