Of all our times in Disney, we have only done the meal plan once. We are going back again and doing the meal plan. Some of the restaurants we ate in were so great and I am not sure if I should go back them or try all new ones. Just wondering how many people repeat the restaurants or do you try new ones every time?

We have our favorite must repeat each time places. For us Coral Reef & LeCellier are always on the list. As we only go once a year I'd really hate not getting to dine at our favorites.

Each time we try new ones too & they end up being new favorites.

We aren't dining at Tusker House safari breakfast this time & we love it...but instead are going w/ a early lunch at Yak & Yeti & supper at Artist Point. We have lots of new ones on the list this year...I wonder which will become the must do repeats for us.

I got in a rut for a few trips and repeated the favorite restaurants. This last trip, I tried all new restaurants (Rose & Crown, Flying Fish, Wolfgang Puck (west) Citrico's and Artist Point) and was really pleased. I always put them off because I thought they were too stuffy or I wouldn't like the food. I had some great meals at all of these. I'm glad I went out of my comfort zone and tried them.

We try a couple new ones each trip but we have our favorites as well. DD loves Stitch so Ohanas is a must do as well as CM :rolleyes1 and for me it's LeCellier.

This trip our new ones are HDDR for DD and CG for me :cloud9:

We usually try new ones, although as we usually go every year or two we do repeat some after several visits. For us there are just too many restaurants not to try new ones!!

I often say I'm going to try new places, but then when it comes down to it, we always find ourselves gravitating back to those we know. I guess I'm too much of a cheapskate and afraid to possibly shell out money for a place that I might not like.

We have a few that we repeat but honestly after discovering these boards and doing sooooo much research, next time we will likely try a lot more new ones.

We always do a mix - Fortunately Disney has soooo many options, unfortunately consistency isn't a strong point.
We have revisited our absolute favorites from the last trip, only to be dissapointed..but have tried new, not-so-fabulous-reviewed places and loved them.
Specific example: We had a not so fabulous meal at Via Napoli - this past trip we desperately needed an Italain-food-fix ;) - We were able to get a walk up there..so we tried it and LOVED it. Best meal of our 10 day trip.
We have had fabulous meals at San Angel and Teppan Edo - revisited both this past trip and they were not good. :confused3

So for our next trip I am back to the drawing board. Looking at new or *haven't been in a long time* places - Definately going back to Via Napoli! but we shall see how that turns out!

We are repeating the following: CRT, Akershus (probably last year for DD to be really excited about those), Liberty Tree Tavern (want to be there on T'Giving), and Ohana (last day breakfast that isn't in a park). Our new ones this trip are: Garden Grill, Chef Mickey's, and Boma.

I personally like the idea of having favorites as it builds memories for kids through "traditions", but I also can't imagine not trying other restaurants as they all have something unique to offer. I think this plan is a good balance of both.

Do a mix of someone of your standard faces and bring some new ones into the mix based on recommendations from this site. If you post the places you, people would be able to give you recos on some other new places to try based on those places.

For our March trip 9 out of 14 places are new for us. As someone mentioned there are just too many places to eat at Disney and so little time. Old favorites always have a place when we start making plans, CP in MK for breakfast is one such ADR Rose & Crown and Biergarten in Epcot are others that we make sure are on our list.
I think it is fun trying new places but I have to have my old favorites too.

I'm not very adventurous when it comes to dining so when I find restaurants I like I'll return.

We usually try to get to one or two new places on each trip. The old favorites are hard to replace though!!!

We try to mix it up. At first we wanted to do all different each trip. There a couple that we will try to go each time. Ohana (5 times as of next week)leads that list. If I can get a ADR for my trip I will do it each time. Places we have gone multiple times are LTT (3 times)& Y&Y(3 times).

We split it up- a couple of must return to from the previous trip we did; a couple of brand new never tried ones and a couple haven't been to in a few trips. There are some we've tried once and no desire to go back to as well.

We do both. We have our must dos that we have to do each trip, but then we also pick out a few restaurants that we have never been to before and add those into the mix. There are times that we go back to restaurants that we haven't been to in a while which makes them like new to us.

We had a longer trip this time than the last one so we would need to try some new stuff. Last time we did Chef Mickey, WCC, and Coral Reef. This time we did Chef Mickey and WCC again. Chef Mickey is always our arrival day because we usually don't get there early enough that we go into the parks so we want to see Mickey right away! I can't see this changing any time soon. We also agrred that we don't feel the need to do WCC again. New were Ohanna, Le Cellier, Boma, Cape May, and Crystal Palace. I'd say Ohanna will be a must do again. I would do Le Cellier and Cape May again and probably not Boma or Crystal Palace. So I think a mix of our most favorites and new stuff as there are tons of things we haven't tried yet. On my list for next time are Teppan Edo and 1900 PF.

This trip we are basically doing all new TS/QS with the exception of Peco's and Tony's :rotfl2: (our traditions).

We're trying Wolfgang Puck Cafe, babycakes, Columbia Harbour House, Coral Reef, San Angel Inn, Backlot Express, Tune-In Lounge (for drinks), Boma, Leaning Palms, Kouzzina and Grand Floridian Cafe. :goodvibes

Have fun planning your trip!

We always do a mix. Traditions for us is CG for Wishes, HBD for Fantasmic dinner package, and CP for breakfast (DW big Tigger fan). We're trying Via Napoli this time as well, with some old, but good repeats (Narcoossee's, Le Cellier, Jiko).

We usually do the same ones since it's not like we can eat at them at home. Sometimes we add in a new one or switch something out (like we didn't do the Play and Dine again since the characters weren't what our kids liked) for something new.

If it's not broken; don't fix it.
