trunk bay/ st john

We are going on the 10 day cruise in 5 weeks. We are planning on going to St John on St Thomas day. Now I got some questions since we never have been to St John. How long does it take to get to ferry from ship Charlotte Amalie? Once you get to cruz bay, how long does it take to get to trunk bay. So tell me how my schdule looks.
Depart St Thomas at Charlotte Amalie 9:00
Arrive Trunk Bay Approx 10:15
Leave Trunk Bay Approx 1:40
Depart for St Thomas 2:15 ferry
Arrive St Thomas 3:00pm.
Now my mom's main request is she has to go jewlery shopping in St Thomas to buy more jewlery. lol You need to be on the ship at 4:00 so would an 1 hour be okay? The ship leaves a 4:30 so when does last ferry leave usually for the ship? Anyone know of any other islands, antigua, st lucia that have good jewlery shopping? Sorry for all the questions, first time adding Trunk Bay to the trip so more planning is involved.

That schedule is pretty much what we did when we visited Trunk Bay last year. We actually tendered into CA so I don't know personally how long the taxi ride is from the port to CA, but I've heard it is very close - probably like 10 minutes. I would try to be off the ship by 8:30 to allow plenty of time to get the taxi to the tender dock by 9:00. If you tender it is very easy to get the ferry to St John from CA as the ferry dock is right next to the tender dock. I think the last tender left 20-30 minutes before departure. If you dock you will have to allow time to catch a taxi back to the dock.

We took the 2:15 ferry back from St John to CA and had plenty of time for shopping. Of course, we were only looking for t-shirts and trinkets. Shopping for jewelry might take a good bit more time.
