"True Colors" sadly missed at HISTA

I haven't seen the "True Colors" opening since 2004. When I went in 2005, I saw a Kodak promo with an actor named Larry Cedar, who I recognized from "Square One TV" and "Deadwood". I do recall the "True Colors" promo and I will miss it. Oh, well. At least I can download it off Limewire or Shareaza.

I didn't really watch "Deadwood", but according to the IMDB, the name of his character was Leon. All I really knew about "Deadwood" was that Swearengen (Ian McShane) always used a word that began with "c" and ended with "r".

I still can't find this video. Does anyone have it? Or know where to find it? I tried Limewire with no luck.

It was one of my favorites. I'm so disappointed they changed it. The pre show is OK but not as touching.

I guess I'll be the dissenting voice on here. My wife and I thought we were going to go insane if we heard that True Colors chorus one more time. Mind you, I love the Cyndi Lauper version, but the HISTA preshow went on and on and on. It was bad enough that it actually served as a deterrent to see HISTA for our family. It has actually become an in-joke for us. Anytime we encounter something ultra-repetitive or long and boring we hum True Colors. We were quite relieved to see they had changed the pre-show this year to something more to our liking. Outside of the other posters on this thread, I can't imagine we were the only ones who felt this way.

I couldn't agree more. I thought True Colors was OK, but after watching it several times I really dreaded seeing it once again, almost to the point that I considered removing the entire attraction from my touring plans. Then, to make matters worse, during my most recent solo visit to The World (Nov. 06), I attempted to see Honey, I shrunk the Audience again, but the CM on duty at the enterance refused to let me enter, saying that I had to watch the entire slide show, which I could see going on inside, but that I could come back again in 27 minutes! This really ticked me off to the point that I considered making a formal complaint to Guest Services, but let it go.

Two days later I returned, making another attempt to see the show and arrived right, quite by luck, and was allowed to enter. I was surprised to find a new pre show going on, and sure welcomed it.

But it still bothers me to have to stand on that pitched floor while the pre show is going on. Hurts my old legs, don't you know?

Our family was Very disappointed when the "new and improved" pre-show came on I don't know why they had to mess with a timeless show and put on what is basically an advertisement the new one doesn't even come close the pre show is just boring boring boring and you can see that in the audience reaction. During True Colors it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop; now everyone is mulling around, talking, etc.

Very sad to hear that the True Colors show is no longer playing. I really, really liked it - in fact I was just thinking about it earlier this week. It was very moving. Just one more change at the world that I don't like!

I am shocked that HISTA lost their "true colors" preshow. I loved this preshow and will sorely miss it the next time I go to EPCOT.

Just for the record, I downloaded the song from Dan above and wow, the memories from this song when I was a kid watching the show are great. Maybe because my dad and brother and I were into photography back then. I was always impressed with this pre-show. Inspiriational? Maybe. It sure did make me want to take better pictures.

I really miss the True Colors preshow or the one that came before it (Making Memories). I don't care for the new one at all.
