Seems like that HISTA went down for a short re-hab this past week and one thing removed/changed was the pre-show. While it is not open yet, Guest Relations has confirmed that Ture Colors was removed in it's current form.

When I was there a few weeks ago, they were showing the pictures to the true colors preshow, but not the sound. It was weird because everybody was standing there in silence, or talking, and the pictures were showing but a lot of people didn't even know what it was. I know a lot of people didn't like it, but I liked it just about as much as HISTA. It was very creative, and a good song, and got people to think instead of just watch.

I thought the pre-show was one of the best in the park - the music was perfect for the pre-show and it fit the sponsor so well. Any ideas on what is replacing it?

Oh no! I really enjoyed this preshow. I wonder if Kodak is pulling out?

NO !!! This was our favorite preshow because of the pictures.

There was a little boy that they used to show that was wearing a blue turtleneck. He looked to be part Asian, and being that DW is chinese, we would always say that he looked like he could be our son, if we are blessed with a child.

Going to miss seeing that picture, and the preshow !!!:(

That's not good. It was the only part of HISTA that I really liked! :p

I hated that Kodak commercial. yes, it was cute the first time, but if you go often, the music really starts to grate and I HATE standing!

Anyone remember the preshow that preceded that? It was a kind of fun picture history of photography with a ragtime style song that I liked quite a bit. The song is on a CD of Disney Park songs I got circa 1991 or so. This was back in the Captain EO days. The song was called "Making Memories" I think. If they went back to that one, it would be nice to mix it up.

Preach on!

I loved Making Memories! That wasn't a part of HISTA, though, was it?

No, it was before "Magic Journeys", I believe, and before "Captain EO". I am not sure whether the True Colors pre-show started at the same time as HISTA, or when it started, frankly.

"Making Memories"....ragtime....is that the same "Making Memories" thats on the Disneyland Sing Along Tape?

I'd prefer that over "True Colors" anyday.

Ditto on the benches. That preshow is LONG.

Yep...

Making meories, making memories,
taking pictures is making memories.
Tiny little pieces of time,
making 'em yours and making 'em mine.

Great vacations and celebrations can fade away in a year
but when we're making memories, happy days are always here!

Can Disney (or Kodak) talk the Sherman Brouthers into writing another song or maybe some new verses? They srote the new lerics for "one Little Spark".

True Colors is gone?

THANK GOODNESS!!!

I hated that show....nowhere to sit, it took way too long, and I've hated that song since Cyndi Lauper did that really bad version in the 80's.

With all of Disney's creative brilliance, they can do better than that.

Just looked on the CD, "Makin' Memories" is 3:27 long. I don't know how this compares to "True Colors" for sure, but it sure seems like it would at least be shorter. I don't remember there ever being benches in that pre-show area any time I have visited.
