My DS10 has been asking for the new Mindstorms for awhile now so when I saw this on tv I went straight to my computer. I was very disappointed, not only is the set $50 higher than list price but it also stated no coupons apply.

Has anyone seen an offer that would include Mindstorms?

Check amazon and target online prices. Toys r us has a huge markup on many lego sets! Two of the ones I bought already for my kids elsewhere were $20 more at Toys R Us!

I swore that it was $350 in the store when I was there a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if the exclusions are the same in store or online but it may be worth a look.

In the past, Barnes and Noble coupons have worked in store for Mindstorms. There were alot of people using the 50% off mystery coupons on them. I'm not sure if you would still be able to do it, but when and if those coupons come out again you could check slickdeals and see what people are saying.

Thanks for the heads-up. I did check Amazon, Lego site, but not Target. Amazon was $20 more than TRU reg. price & Target doesn't carry Technics.

Even considering the mark-up at TRU, after I added the coupon, the kit I purchased came in less.

Thanks, I have been hoping for a good B&N coupon. I have been lucky in using these in the past for Technics in store. Do you remember when the bigger % off coupons came out last year?

I'm thinking the TRU exclusion that applies the case of Mindstorms is "Electronics".

B&N coupon does sound like a slick deal! I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for that one. Thanks!

Toys "R" Us marks up LEGO Technic sets anywhere from 10 to 50%. Never buy them at Toys "R" Us, always use LEGO.com.

Technic is only sold at Toys "R" Us and The LEGO Store. You can't use Amazon to compare, it's third-party resellers.
