Trouble with Tickets and AP Passes

Hello all,
I am having trouble with our tickets and AP passes.

I booked a package months ago for WDW that included tickets. Which is great.

However, a few months ago my husband and I went to DL alone and decided to upgrade to premier AP's.

I need to make sure that when we go to the parks, our premier APs are used FIRST and not the 8 day tickets on our account. I was going to switch to a passholder package, but was convinced by the agent on the phone from Disney that it would be "cheaper in the long run" to just "hold onto the tickets" and then use those to bridge to our NEXT AP and decrease the price of our next premier AP. She kind of assumed we wanted to do that.

Anyway, now I need to place the tickets into a different order on our account - APs used first, tickets second. But I can't seem to get Disney's "Internet Help Desk" to help me. I can't order the special AP bands either. I'm getting really frustrated. I asked if they could instead mail me hard tickets for the 8-day-tickets and unlink them to a magic band, and they completely refused.

What should I do? Thanks!

Go to Guest Relations outside of a park when you arrive. Explain that you want to use the Premier Pass first and not use the package tickets until after that has expired. They can prioritize it properly for you. Then check to be sure it worked correctly after you enter a park. If not, Guest Relations inside the park should be able to make everything correct for you.

Can you not make the the 8-day tickets inactive in MDE? I have a pair of Complimentary Tickets that I have made inactive. While I had an Annual Pass, I was worried that the Complimentary Tickets would be used first.

It also looks like I can reassign the tickets now. The reassignment seems risky to me, I would hate to lose the tickets to the ether.

We are AP holders at WDW and had a similar situation, as we had family come in front out of town and had a full package vacation at Fort Wilderness at the end of October.

We simply went to Guest relations on the first day (outside the park) and asked them to issue hard tickets (the plastic cards) for the package tickets. This worked for us and our APs got us into the parks each day, and we now have two hard tickets to use whenever we need to -- for instance to bridge the price for next year's AP renewal.

Thanks for posting this! We have a paid off vacation package coming up this Christmas break, but I have an annual pass that will still be good for those dates. I am the only one in the party who has an annual pass, though. Can I just get a hard ticket for myself and have everyone else just use their magic bands? Will I still be able to use my magic band for FPs, ADR, etc.?

Thanks for any information!

Make sure you stop at guest relations first thing to prioritize your AP. if not the other tickets will be used and it is a mess trying to get them back. i know because it has happened to me twice, even with stopping to prioritize.

Yes, to both questions. Just stop at GR before you enter a park. :)
