Trouble with shirts...bleeding?

Hi all you amazing creative disigners!! I was here a couple years ago and had some amazing designs made...printed them out per instructions and ironed on shirts. Problem is...when we got to Disney I noticed when they got wet (splash mountain)...they started to bleed? Now I'm wondering if I bother making them again? We had to just throw them in the trash by the end of the day ...any suggestions?

If I make shirts with very dark colors I spray them with Scotchgard before we go. I read it somewhere on the boards and it seems to work. I haven't had any problems with them running, even in the August thunderstorms.
