Trouble with Cingular Online Orders?

Ok, I know people have trouble with Cingular. I ordered 2 phones the other day...no problem, right? Received order updates....ok. This morning I get another "update" stating that the phones I have chosen are on BACKORDER! WTH? Why didn't the order system tell me they were a backorder item? That doesn't make sense. Now I don't have phones for my kids this Christmas...at least until I can call them and scream tomorrow. Just a little frustrated. Thanks for allowing me to vent.

Well all I hope for you is that when you do call and scream that the person on the phone understands and speaks english.......I wouldn't want you to expend to much energy for nothing.............Good luck!! I hope all their "bars" are in the right places for your area, they sure weren't in mine. But I know how you feel about not telling you they were on backorder when you placed the order, that has happened to me with other services lately, and if I knew it was a backordered item I would have searched for something else...........Good luck

I'm with you... I just used their website to upgrade some phones and change equipment. Yuck!

The website's kludgy... at one point I saved my shopping cart so I could finish later. Sounded like a good idea, but I never could find that stupid cart again when I went back to finish, so I had to start over anyway.

And then it took two days to get back an acknowledgement saying "we've received your order." Terrific... in the store, I'd have the activated phones in hand by now.

I'll probably get the out of stock message next. Good thing I'm not in a real rush to get the equipment. I really thought doing this online would be easier than at the store. It's looking like I was wrong.
