Trouble with 3x rewards from Chase Visa

They are pretty inconsistent with the extra rewards. Usually its the travel, groceries, and gas but a lot of grocery stores aren't listed for rewards as grocery-- though when I get my year end statements they are properly categorized. One of the main grocery store chains in my area Giant does not show up as groceries and neither does Trader Joes. In some cases I have received more than I thought I should though so I figure it evens out for me and I don't argue I kept getting the $3000 for 3x rewards and I stopped spending on the card and then got the 5x rewards for now through July based on $700.

I enrolled in the 3X Rewards for Jan - March and received the 100 total bonus rewards on my April statement.


Just last week we received 2 new offers - one for my card and one for my DH's card. We typically put everything on my card only.

My offer is for 3X Reward Dollars for every dollar spent on Gas, Groceries and Dining over $700.

DH's offer is for 3X Reward Dollars for every dollar spent over $300.

So looks like we'll be using DH's card for the next couple of months!

Remember that there is a maximum 100 onus points allowance. Also read the Terms and Conditions on your offer: you must sign up by a certain date, certain discount places are not eligible, and Disney is 'not responsible' if the merchant does not bill for the correct category. Also, Disney reserves the right to determine which purchases are eligible.

Also note: only one account per household is eligible for the 5x reward offer.
