Trouble using Best Buy wish certificate?

Anyone else have trouble using an amex/best buy wish certificate? The best buy originally gave me the gift card at purchase, which is what I understand was supposed to happen. BUT, the balance was zero. Now they say amex will mail it to me. Anyone else used one or able to advise?

Go to the store...they can look up exactly what happened.

they had to do mine as 2 seperate transactions, since they couldnt figure out how to ring it up right.

First they rang up my purchase, then based on my amount they issued me a $60 BB gift card in a seperate transaction.

They shouldn't have done it that way...that way only happens when there is a glitch in the system.

The OP's situation seems like the cashier might have taken the gift card with the money on it and gave her a blank one, which is why I said to go to the store.
