Trouble ordering APs

A few weeks ago, I tried ordering 4 Deluxes and a Signature online. It was giving me a bit of trouble, so I had to call my CC company to notify them of the purchase. After that, the order went through. Then my statement came in and it had refunded all of my money. When I called Disney, they said it was their fault and I needed to order them again.

I then tried several times with the new Windows Edge browser and then with Firefox, and each time I would get an error message when I tried to purchase. I began chatting with someone online who gave some pointers but nothing worked. I even tried it on Chrome browser and Internet Explorer. Same thing everytime! Not sure if it's the types of tickets I'm ordering or what, but it seems Disney's making it as hard as they can for me to visit their parks. Anyone else have this problem?

I'm about to head to the nearest store and just buy them there, but I wanted them part of my online Disney account. You know, just in case they start offering special FP+ stuff, or to see the deals for their hotels.

When I've ordered or purchased (at the park) Disneyland APs they aren't connected to the account until I attach them. And I don't get access to the ap discount calendar until after I've used the APs.

Even if they started doing things like that, you'd be able to attach it. No need to buy direct.

And IMO no big need to buy ahead of time.

Until the APs are activated, you aren't granted access to any of the AP pages anyway, so you don't need to buy direct online from Disney. Once your AP is activated, you will be able to add it to your account and have access to AP hotel discount pages, etc.

Can't say anything about the problems you are experiencing. Last time I bought APs online was well over a year ago, and I didn't have any issues then.

I'd love to get your theory on this. I've not been doing DL to "get" their price increases. I was sorta expecting one first of May like last year and the year before. that's when I had the successful order and then refund. But the price jump never happened. Is that because of the increase they had in the fall of 2015? I just don't want to get caught when the price goes up another $20 or more.

Was it in the fall? I remember the price jumping very soon after we bought (at a ticket booth the day we were first doing the parks) our APs July 2015.

It's always a gamble.

And these purchasing glitches happen, though not all the time.

I expect another price increase too, but maybe it won't happen. They raised the AP prices in the fall as Gator said, and they did not raise them this winter when gate prices went up. It'd be nice if they'd wait until next winter to raises prices. But even with all of the construction the parks have been busy, so they could very well increase prices. It doesn't hurt to buy them early if you can afford to.
