Trouble on the Dream?

Hope nothing serious is going onboard the Dream! I just happened to see on the Paradise Island webcam the Dream back in Nassau and there is an ambulance at the pier next to the ship.

Not sure what was going on then - but our trip 25-29 October had a medevac on the 28th.

My family refers to me as The Vacation Travel Black Hole because things happen to me that should only happen in another dimension! All I can say is I hope you don’t ever end up a ship with me!!!

Of our nine DCL cruises, we have had two where an ambulance met us at the dock. You see the family and all their luggage standing there while their friend/family member is loaded into the ambulance and feel sorry for their situation. A few years ago we were in Tallinn, Estonia and the brand new Viking Star was docked next to us...their engine was sick. Talked to a woman who was aboard and she said they had been there for three days...an unexpected disruption in their cruise. They were given the options of being flown home, being flown to the third port ahead in their itinerary (with hopes the ship will be repaired to make it there) or stay on the ship for whatever happens. Cruising is not always a "for certain" thing...stuff happens.
