Trouble finding hotel availability!

Just booked a last minute trip to Disneyland for Oct 15-19th (4 nights) I have looked all over and I guess everyone else is on school break too!

The only thing I found was the Marriott Fullerton, which does not have any transportation, only the city bus is what I was told.

Any ideas? I didn't want to spend more than $180 or so a night and really wanted to be close enough to catch the Disney transportation that goes to non Disney hotel that you pay for each ride.

Thanks

Did you check getawaytoday? They have Castle Inn and a couple Best Western options available, among others (Menage, etc.).

I was considering going then, but had a hard time finding availability, so we are going to Branson instead. Good luck finding a place to stay. I checked getawaytoday.com and found nothing for that weekend!

It looks like your trip is during the Utah Educators Association conference. Some refer to it as Utah Escapes to Anaheim as the Utah kids are out of school. It's gonna be tough finding a room with your requirements during that time but best of luck! Maybe you'll find a cancellation somewhere! If you can't find walking distance remember there is the Anaheim Resort Transit system at some of the hotels that goes to DL for a fee so maybe check that out.

We're going the 15th as well. We booked over a month ago because we were watching prices and saw the rooms disappearing rapidly. Maybe call the hotels and see if they've had cancellations or have kept rooms open that are not advertised online? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!

I would keep checking every day, especially at Candy Cane Inn and Tropicana. Many people double book and then cancel one a week or two before. I bet something will open up. Why don't you ask to talk to the manager at a couple properties you are interested in, and nicely ask to be called if the dates open up?

We are headed there for the same time (yes, UEA). We booked back in April when I knew I wasn't going to be able to get away from work over the summer. For kicks, I looked at hotel pricing and locations a couple of weeks ago and found that the prices had risen quite a bit, and the availability is nearly non-existent for anything close.

Best of luck.

We also booked a last minute trip around the same time you did. We ended up switching our days so we are going early in the week instead if late in the week. We are staying at the embassy suites south. There is a shuttle that goes to disney and it had what we wanted. We wanted 2 rooms so we could talk or watch tv when the kids were sleeping and we really wanted something that had a breakfast to save money on that.

You should try Park Vue Inn, just across from the entrance on Habour. They do not come up on any of the travel booking sites, and you usually have to book directly with them, so you may get lucky. In fact, I would do as a PP mentioned and call all the Harbour motels to see if there are any last minute cancellations. Good luck!

Have you figured out of it's just one date that's sold out? If it's only one day, you should consider switching hotels, so you'd be in the location you want for 2-3 days and then you'd only have to deal with ART or OCTA for maybe 1 day.
