Trouble eating with no ADRs?

DH and I planned a last minute getaway for the last week of February, 26 thru March 4.

We don't really have a plan yet so I am wondering if we will be in trouble if I don't make any ADRs?

We have never gone without having every day and meal plotted out. Is this a busy time to go?

If there are certain places that you want to eat I would make ADRs. The dining plan has changed the landscape of Disney Dining.

Everyone is reporting seeing folks without ADR's being turned away - no matter the season. The Disney Dining Plan has made the TS restaurants busier than ever, as folks are eating at the TS who may not have without the Dining Plan.
My rule of thumb is if there is a restaurant that I want to eat at or a specific time I want to eat, I make ADR's. When we went in October, I just had a basic idea of which park we would be in on which day and I made my ADR's that way.
I think the time you are going is a busy time, with Spring Breaks around the country. I think ADR's are a good idea.
Good Luck.

I make ADRs for specific restaurants we want to eat in but beyond that we wing it. DH is not into planning every moment. We have been lucky - last July we ate at 9 Dragons for dinner, Rose & Crown for lunch, Alfredo's dinner, and Chefs de France for dinner all without ADRs. We generally there right at the beginning of the serving hour (with the exception of 9 Dragons). I think if you are flexible it is possible. It was a great chance to experience restaurants we might not have tried otherwise. My husband enjoyed 9 Dragons so much he wants to make sure we get an ADR next time!

We've never done ADR's. I just don't get the whole planning my every meal 3 months before hand :confused3 We usually go in low season in Jan/Feb. We'll last trip (even before the dining plan) we had a hard time getting into the places we usually walked into! We even tried just calling that morning and either were told FULL or not our ideal times.

So this trip next week I've made only 4 ADR's for the meals I know we wanted, LeCellier, Boma, WC, AP. I just made them this week and had no trouble. I'll probably try and make a couple more before we leave.

I think tourism has definitely increased in recent years and like others said about the dining plan and TS restaurants.

Thanks to the OP for this question. We also haven't made any ADR's yet...I just can't plan even which park we're doing on which day, let alone where we want to eat dinner. We do know there are a few we'll likely want to try, so we plan on possibly phoning for those the week or so before we go, when we get a better feel for what our plan it. If we get them, great, if not, well I guess we were forewarned! Hey, it will also be a good reason to start planning another trip ASAP...to eat at the places we didn't get to on this trip! ;)
