I thought we were done and sold all our contracts but, looks like:

Going to add on a small 100 point contract, but not sure which resort.

Saratoga Springs or Boulder Ridge - price point not that far apart and neither are the dues.

Which would you prefer

Direct or resale?
2042 or 2054 end goal?

With only wanting 100 points, and no longer an owner you are stuck with resale as the minimum is 150.

The big difference is really the end date. If you are fine with it just ending in 2042 , then BRV gives you a resort near MK. But SSR allows you to own 12 years longer and if you did decide you still want out then, you’d have something with some resale value over BRV in 2042 since that will be 0.

SSR is nice of you see having easier access to DS which can be nice.

When you travel matters too. If you want to travel in fall..which is a busy DVC time then you might want a resort that is harder to book..which is BRV.

Lots of points to think about. Just have todecide which one is most important

DH just pulled our last contract and decided to keep it, he thinks we should keep it.

He really likes SSR because its closes to Disney Springs. I'm split between the two. I like BRV more than SSR.
We'll buy direct because everything is done in a matter of a few minutes, we both hate to wait and we want the points to be in our use year. And we did talk about the "End Date" that makes a big difference to me.

On the Resale side, so far we have not found the correct amount of pts or in our use year.
And have looked for some time now. So were going direct.

Travel time is no problem.

I would buy SSR between the two. Mostly because of that poor owner at BRV that posts here about the perpetually pushed-back renovations.

I don't know your situation, but just guessing as an outsider, I'd lean towards SSR. To me seems like a better resort for less parks or less Disney, if that was part of you originally selling.

Going direct I would do CCV over either of those choices. The CCV contract will always easily be worth at least the extra $25/pp you are paying over SSR. It gives you priority at Wilderness Lodge, same as boulder ridge would give you, and has the longest contract so will hold its value the longest. I wouldnt even think about buying a 2042 resort at this point only for the fact that fairly soon the value on those are going to go down since there arent many years left. Just my 2cents.

I would never buy into CC , not even if they drop it to $110pp. I don't like the layout. Why would I buy at dvc villa I don't like??. I know a lot of people love it, but me no sorry.
