Trouble accessing my profile...

Does anyone else have problems with this on the Disney website? It has been going on for quite some time for me--I even created a new account in July thinking maybe my old one was just broken or something (it wouldn't let me access my profile and then one day wouldn't even recognize my password anymore either!) After the initial day of setting up the new account and entering a little bit of my profile information, the new account has started doing the same thing to me that the old one did. I can log in on the website and it greets me with my name, allows me to bring up my saved trip quotes, etc, but when I click on Edit My Profile it takes me to the Log In page, even though I'm still logged in. When I enter my log in info it takes me right back to the main page where I started, and I go round and round with this. It never takes me to my profile!

I've tried logging out and logging in again--it doesn't help.

I've tried accessing my profile from the email I received when I created the account in July-- there is a link in the email that tells me I can create/update my profile info--but when I try to follow the link I get an error code. I can't figure out what's wrong! Why can't I get to my profile? :confused3 My husband says he has no problems getting to his.

One of the main reasons I want to get to my profile is to make sure I've signed up for all of the communications I can possibly get from Disney. I would really love to get on that elusive Pin Code mailing list so I can maybe someday book a trip again. I used to get the Disney Destinations Hello Newsletter, but it stopped coming to me last May and I have no idea why, and I don't know how to sign up for it again. I thought maybe I could do that through the profile. :confused3 My husband still gets the monthly email, but he doesn't read it/scour his emails from Disney for Pin Codes the way I would. :thumbsup2

I sent an email to Disney through the Contact Us link on the website two days ago, but I haven't heard anything back from them yet. They had me choose from a drop-down menu what the email was regarding; I selected Disney Destinations Communications since they didn't have anything for Website or Account Support and I was also asking why my Newsletter stopped coming.

Am I the only one in the world who has this problem? Did Disney find out I went to Wizarding World last year and decide to stop talking to me? ;) Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated!

It may have to do with your web browser. I've noticed that the WDW site was a lot more feisty with me when I used Firefox. For some reason I wasn't able to access the full site properly, even after logging in.

When I made my latest reservation, I found that Internet Explorer worked just fine, so I know now to use IE for anything related to the official site.

I find parts of it won't load (like your disney vacation preferences) no matter whether I use firefox, IE, or safari. I want to set that part up so if I do get a pin, it is more likely based on the info in there.

I am currently trying to make dining reservations and the site won't work for me at all. Pages take forever to load and the system always logs me out for no reason. It is extremely frustrating and Disney needs to do something to improve this site ASAP. Not acceptable.

I think the Disney Reservations site is incredibly buggy. Up until a couple of weeks ago (when I booked a new trip for January), it always gave me the splash screen telling me I had 2 days until my upcoming Pop stay. Which was LAST April. So often it just goes back to the login screne when I try to log in, or just gives me the "please wait" pop-up endlessly when searching for dining reservations. Incredibly annoying; it really seems like a company with that much money and the incredible infrastructure they have to run the parks should be able to make a website that functions.

I had the same thing happening with our Feb reservations saying "You'll be here in 2 days" when it was May/june after we had gone. Making a new dining reservation seems to have cleared that up though. If only it would unclog enough to let me update my profile.

Ohmygosh! I think that's it. I gave it a try using IE and got right into my profile. Thank you so much! Firefox still won't let me in though. Geeze, you'd think Disney would work with FF, too. I don't want to have to switch over to IE every time I want to visit the WDW site, but I guess at least I have a way around my access issue now, so that's a relief. :thumbsup2

And thanks to everyone else for replying as well. I guess I'm glad I'm not alone with having problems on the site; I hate that you guys are having issues, too, but maybe that means Disney will pay attention and fix it all someday since it affects a lot of people.

So, according to my profile, I am signed up to receive all of the communications they offer on there, but I still didn't see any way to sign up for the monthly Hello Newsletter. Anyone have any ideas how I can start getting that again?

I've tried using IE and have the same issues:

- The vacation preferences page won't load, while all the others will.
- I can enter family members into the famly members page but going back to my profile shows no one was added.

Ugh. I feel for you. I know that's frustrating. I wish I knew how to help. I still haven't heard anything back from the email I sent via the WDW website, but you might try sending them one anyway; maybe you'll have better luck. :confused3
