Can anyone tell me how the food is at this place? Specifically the corn on the cob and the various potatoes?

Gracias!!

I got the corn on the cob and the BBQ chicken potato and thought it was yummy. A good mid-afternoon snack.

The potatoes are really good and quite filling. I've had the traditional one and the BBQ chicken one. And I think a bargain for DL. I can't bring myself to pay almost $5 for an ear of corn. Plus it gets all stuck in my teeth. Blech.

DH and I tried the corn a few trips ago and we absolutely loved popcorn:: the regular and thought the chili lime was good, but not great. It is the same corn that you can find at other carts around the park.

As far as the potatoes, we wanted to try one because they did look so yummy, but could never find a time when we weren't too-full from all of the other treats that we get! It is definitely on our "to-try" list. :thumbsup2

Last year, I did a Culinary Quest blog for the DIS on Troubadour Tavern. Click here if you're interested in reading about our experience. It includes food and location pics. We enjoyed our meal there.

Here is a potato from last summer. I forget what it was, maybe bbq chicken. Anyway, it was good and nice to have something different.

I read the review, you did a fantastic job! We will definitely be trying out Troubadour Tavern. I went ahead and read some of the other reviews you did, and it has inclined me to say that I agree with your review of The French Market. I miss the old French Market soooo much. The beef stew was one of my fav dishes in the resort. :sad1:

I think we may be trying Hungry Bear out as well, and if we do Village Haus more than likely we will be ordering some of the old stuff. Burgers for us, pizza for kids. That is our go-to easy spot. Not the greatest, but I can remember eating there as a kid (& Hungry Bear) and just kinna default there at times.

Thanks again for the great reviews! :thumbsup2

The BBQ chicken potato has become my fave DL lunch.

On the other hand, even with the redo, I was still not impressed with Hungry Bear. The line takes forever, the food was not made to order (appears that they forgot to add the nuts to my salad before serving it, and when I ordered my DH's burger sans sauce they also took off the cheese too), and was just kinda meh. It's a shame, because we love the location. But, on that side of the park we will stick to getting soup from the little place on the river across HM and take it over to Hungry Bear.

Village Haus, meanwhile has zoomed up my family's list of favorites. Before their redo we had only eaten there once or twice with bland results. Now, however, I adore the cheddar and apple salad, and my DH loves the BLT flatbread.

It's the one place my boyfriend is really looking forward to going to again when we go back in August. He loved the Chili and Lime Corn on the cob. I thought the potatoes were really yummy as well. :)

Me too! :thumbsup2 I love the BBQ chicken potato. It's filling and I think it's one of the best bargains in the park since you get chicken and potato for one low price! I haven't tried the corn since, like a PP, I can't bring myself to pay $5 for corn.
