I was just looking at the menus on allears.net and noticed a menu marked "updated" for a snack place (cart?) called Troubadour Tavern. I see they sell stuffed baked potatoes there. Is this a new place or have i just never noticed it before? It says it's in Fantasyland but i'm not sure where. I've never heard anyone mention getting stuffed baked potatoes anywhere at DLR so that's why i thought maybe it was new. Has anyone been there or know anything about this place?

I checked the DL website and found this:

Have a king's appetite? Then amble into Troubadour Tavern in Fantasyland. In a medieval pavilion-style tent, Troubadour Tavern serves up a royal feast worthy of the golden days of yore. Formerly known as Enchanted Cottage, Troubadour Tavern offers a new and expanded menu. Gather ye 'round and sample the noble fare:

It goes on to list things. Here is the link and it has a picture.

It is new. It's bigger than a cart, but smaller than a counter service restaurant. It's the little "shack" to the left of Princess Fantasy Faire. They've sold bratwurst at that location for a little while (and still do), but they've recently added stuffed baked potatoes, too. We haven't tried it yet, but plan to soon.

Thanks for the info! I didn't think I had ever heard of it before but since it was a small place i thought maybe that was the reason. oc_tony (or anyone else), let us know what you think after you try it. I would love to hear some reviews. :)

Thanks for the DIS Unplugged "plug." We are slowly eating our way around "the Land" this year and enjoying (almost) every bite. We're glad so many DISers are reading and enjoying the blog series. Look for a new one soon! :mickeybar

I don't think anyone has mentioned this on the DLR boards, but Tony and his family are eating their way through DLR and he is blogging about it. I found out about it on the Dis Unplugged board. Here is a link to his latest blog on Carnation Cafe.

I can't wait to read more! :thumbsup2

That sounds like a fun challenge to undertake! I'll have to read the blog.

I thought it was across from Matterhorn by the smoking area? What's that one?

You might be thinking of the new Edelweiss Snacks.

It is a cute blog! I'd love if all the posts were tagged "Culinary Quest" though, so I can see all your DLR reviews at once. Sometimes I like to read WDW reviews for the heck of it, but the fact is that I don't see myself going to WDW more than once every 3-4 years, whereas I'll have 3 Disneyland trips in a 12-month period thanks to my AP. So your Disneyland reviews are much more relevant and I'd love a way to just click and view them all at once.

(I know I could just click on "Disneyland" but then I see more than just your delicious posts. ;) )

Thanks. That's a good idea, and I'll look into that. The last one was tagged "Culinary Quest" but not the rest. I'm titling each one with "Culinary Quest" in the beginning though, so if you go to the blog home page and search "culinary quest", it will pull up my posts along with a few other related blog posts as well. At least you won't have to go wading through so many search results.

I have to agree that it is not easy to find unless a link is posted directly to it in the Unplugged forum. I wish that each blogger had their own list of blogs you could click on. Or at least divide it to WDW blogs and DLR blogs. DLR items just get lost in the all WDW stuff. I think that is why I never think to look at those restaurant lists that Judy linked to. I'm mostly used to everything else here being WDW so I don't go there for info on DLR.
