I am in Orlando and today I saw a bit of rain at Magic Kingdom but no real word if Fay will hit us or not. Not sure if I should make an attempt to hit the parks Tuesday since I have a Magic Your Way Ticket... any advice? news?

Just wanting to enjoy my vacation....

The weather channel is saying it really won't hit the Orlando area until the middle of the night Tuesday or early Wednesday. Go to the parks tomorrow and enjoy...rain or shine. If it rains more people will leave and you will have a shorter wait for rides and shows. Good luck and have a good time...hopefully Fae will weaken and not cause much havoc for you.

the "have a Magic Your Way" ticket? Are you asking whether you should take the chance of wasting a day on your park tickets? If so, how many days do you have on the tickets and how many days will you need after tomorrow? If Disney closes the parks, I've heard they usually give you another day on your ticket but, even if they don't, another day only costs a couple of bucks. If it were me, I'd go!

Yeah I didn't want to waste the day if it gets bad. We did Magic Kingdom today and the slight rain wasn't so bad but we're Ny'ers so anything past a thunder storm is new to us lol.

We got 3 days left which we wanted to use for AK, HS and EPCOT. Figured we can do AK if Fay hits and take Wed off. Ahhhh so new to this tropical storm stuff lol hence why I need the advice! lol.

We're at AKV and had a call that the parks will be opening at 8am tomorrow (Tuesday). DQ will open at 9am. The storm has been really unpredictable as far as speed, course, and intensity, so it's best just to watch the weather channel to decide what to do. If you've planned a park day, be there at 8am and get the most out of it!

We've decided to just hang out at AKV and enjoy the resort. I already had board games packed and my CM DD who lives nearby is coming with her Wii, so we'll make our own fun!

I hope everyone has a fun, safe next couple of days!

I read on another thread that someone was reporting that the resorts were getting phone messages stating that they would be open at 8am(I think) for normal operations. They said things might be tied down for wind issues but from what I know (I lived through many many hurricanes...including Ivan in 04 where the eye of the storm came right over us) about storms, I'd not worry tooo much about this one. Yes...there is a chance for tornados but you most likely see a typical stormy day. Just bring your raincoats, boots and have fun!! Bet you'll walk on almost every ride!! We call that a "hurricane party" here!! Have fun! Wish I was there! :goodvibes
