I have been finding some cool stuff on Disney+ and one movie I discovered was Tron and I decided to watch a few minutes of it while waiting for dinner and Tron looked fantastic as it did when it debuted in the 80's and had loads of adventure too. When I was a baby Mom used to play the Tron video game a lot while Dad liked Discs Of Tron a lot. You might think that with the Tron ride opening soon at Walt Disney World Tron will gain a new generation of fans who will discover it and the remake of Tron too

TRON is a great movie and cutting edge for it's time. The video games were fun too! They really had a good synergy going, though it wasn't a huge hit (the game made more in quarters than the movie). TRON Legacy is not a remake, but an actual sequel taking place 30 years later. There is also an animated series called TRON Uprising that is GREAT, but was unceremoniously canclled without a satisfying ending. I do hiope the opening of the Lightcycle Power Run will draw more attention to the franchise.

The first one is great. The animated cartoon is also great. The reboot movie isn't all that great. It looked like they were rebooting the franchise, but the movie failed.

It's not that bad. It isn't a reboot. It did just okay, kind of like the first one. I kinda like the idea of them only doing one every 25 years or so to show the change in computer technology. I wouldn't mind some animation or video games in the interim though. The way they treated Uprising was horrendus - it was so good!

First one is pretty good. I liked parts of the second one in terms of visuals/effects but found some of the acting not great.

I agreed. People didn’t like it or thought it was good. Most of the haters said they couldn’t understand it. No imagination.
