"Tron 2" Plot and Title Revealed

Walt Disney Pictures has just announced that it will hold a "Tron" presentation at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con. The studio is planning to bring a 3-D clip from the movie, which is simply being called "Tron," instead of "Tron 2" or "Tr2n."

Disney also revealed the official synopsis for the film: "TRON is a 3D high-tech adventure set in a digital world that's unlike anything ever captured on the big screen. Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father's disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin's loyal confidant (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous."

The presentation will take place on July 23rd, so expect the "Tron" clip to appear online in bootleg format soon after.

but...but...but...he WASN'T lost inside the computer at the end of Tron (or Tron 1, or Tron the prequel, or whatever we're supposed to call the first film now). His entire adventure took place in a very small space of real-time, and he was shown out and head of the company at the end! Are we just supposed to ignore that, or will they tack a short bit onto the beginning of this one showing the MCP pulling him back in? And actually, to have a 27 year old son and been missing for 25 years, he must have been out and free for at least 3 years, no?

I think there has to be some new plot but with the internet. The old Tron was just on a local server since there was no Internet back then. Graphically this could be incredible. I just worry about them hurting the original story with a half wit story for the 2nd.
