We're sailing on Nov. 5th and was wondering if it's likely that the new movie Trolls will be played on board. Also are there are any decorations for Thanksgiving? Thanks.

The new Trolls movie is DreamWorks so I'd say there's next to a 0% chance it would be shown on the Disney ship as a first run movie.

We sailed last year on November 15 and I didn't see an US Thanksgiving decorations. At that time, there was only Christmas décor. You may just have a plain ship or the first small pieces of the Christmas décor being put out.

I have never seen a non-Disney film featured on the ships, least of all an animated film from one of their primary competitors.

Dreamworks and Disney were connected for years. I forgot that their agreement ended a few months ago. Too bad.

That was kind of a shame, wasn't it? I really thought they were doing well together.

You'll get doctor strange though that also comes up 11/4 and it's Disney/marvel

DreamWorks separated into two companies, live action and animation, in 2004.

Disney and DreamsWorks Pictures (the live action comapny) had a distribution deal that ended earlier this year. This was films like Lincoln, The Help, Bridge of Spies. The new distribution deal has DreamWorks Pictures with Universal.

Because DreamWorks Animation is a separate company it was not under the distribution deal with Disney. In addition, the company was recently purchased by Comcast (Universal).

BFG was the last movie that Disney and DreamWorks worked on. Once that came out in July, the partnership was completed.

I'd rather have Trolls. :)

But the good news is that this is a Very MerryTime cruise, which I did not even realize! Love Christmas themed Disney cruises!
