Does anybody know if these are free at the airport or do they operate on a coin basis (like with some supermarket trolleys here) if they are coin based can somebody please tell me how much as I would like to get the change before I leave and save the hassle of having to buy something for the sake of getting change.

Thanks

They are free from the baggage hall, but when you return the car, the ones in the rental drop off are a dollar (either a dollar bill or change). Im sure thats right (never remember paying for them on arrival, though I have never taken MUCH notice!!).

Im sure if I am wrong someone will know for sure!

We definitely had to pay for ours, but as I remember it the machine took notes as well - and then gave you change if you used a larger note which we did for change for the tolls!

Hi,
The trolleys in the main collection area are $3 and you get $1 back when you return them. There is a return point at the Dollar car hire depot. The machine takes $1 bills.

I remember paying for our trolleys last year at the baggage reclaim - think $3, and as mickg7dyd and feistyblue said - they take notes too.

Quite often if you look outside where the busses pick up there are trolleys there that no one has bothered to return!

i've never met a US airport that had free trolleys....
they're usually $3....
we were just in MCO a month ago and they most definitely cost $3.....you can use a credit card....
