Tripod Storage in the MK?

Well my trip to WDW is fast approaching 7/3 and in over 30 visits in 3 decades this will be my first time to experience what I heard are to be spectacular fireworks at the MK on 7/4. I plan to be there early and leave late and will not be going back to POR - Riverside for fear of never getting let back into the MK.

My question to the group is whether or not the MK has storage facilities other than the lockers that would accept storage of my tripod for the day. I don't want to be lugging this gear around the park during the heat of the day, but will need it at nite for the fireworks display.

BTW . . . I am in Long Island right now and the weather is sweltering . . . Orlando has to be cooler than here!

I've heard that you can check stuff too big for the lockers, but don't know. If you don't get a definitive answer, check on the Photography section of the DIS. They'll know for sure.

Be careful. People don't always look (or can't see) where they're going...and there are kids in the mix. Hold on to your camera. Word to the wise there.

Yes .... I positioned myself on a few very merry Christmas parades and placed myself on the top level by the RR entry facing Main Street and I really did not have problems with the kids, but the horrible inconsiderate parents ... A woman in particular who at the last minute chose to place herself in front of my tripod ... Right in the field of my view. She had her son with her and I was still feeling the Disney glow ... But if she was in NY and I was not on vacation I might not have been so congenial.

Yes you can...simply head to the locker storage and they will store it for you with their oversized items. You just pay the price of the large locker. I have done it 7 or 8 times with no issues.
