This was a short trip only possible because my in-laws recently moved to Florida. I convinced my DH that since we were going to visit his parents and we had annual passes, we couldn't miss this opportunity for a quick visit. He agreed and here we go.....
Arrive MCO via SWA at 2pm. Picked up by TTC and brought directly to CSR. Since we were only staying 3 nights, we decided not to use the grocery stop. Check-in went smoothly and we were on our way to our room in Cabanas 8A. I had requested first floor. The CM told me that he only had one in 8A so I said great. We get to the building and the bellman CM tells us that it's a second floor room. He says he can call to get a first floor, but we are near the elevator and it's only for 3 nights. With a stroller, a first floor room is invaluable! The room is fine. We got spoiled by staying at the YC in November. For a longer stay, we will definitely go deluxe again. But, for a short stay the moderate size was fine. A quick unpacking and setting up the pack-n-play and we are off to grab a late lunch at the Pepper Market. Mixed reviews here. We really didn't like how we had to be seated and have someone bring us our drinks. The food was good, but we just got breakfast to go after this meal. We hit the bus stop and head to Epcot.
We get to Epcot and have 3 missions. Ice station cool, TON parade and a glass cutting board that I bought for a friend in France. I decided that now I wanted one too! We head to Ice Station Cool first and find a cute rubbery coke can replica that our son just loves. He likes to be like Daddy and carry the unopened can of soda around. Now, he has his own and we don't have to worry about him trying to drink the soda!! Next, we head toward the Land. We walk by the Garden Grill and see Chip, Dale and Mickey. DS squeals at the sight of them. We go into Food Rocks and then grab some ice cream. We head to Mouse Gears next where I find some Chip and Dale ornaments. Dale has become my DS's favorite character. He loved Dale on our trip in November. He has the two beanie sized Chip and Dale, but I was on the search for more merchandise. Unfortunately, the Christmas ornaments were the only items I was able to find. We did purchase another Dale beanie, as a spare. If any one knows of other items to buy with Chip and especially Dale, let me know!
We walk around WS next. We stop in Canada and buy DS a mini Canadians hockey stick and one of thos light up sabers. I love to just walk around and enjoy the sounds and lights of the countries. We stop in France and I find the cutting board! Gotta love the resort delivery service too! We stroll through all the countries stopping here and there along the way. We missed the 6:30 TOD, so we grab a spot for the 8:10 showing. Then, it gets cancelled due to high winds. I'm so disappointed because this was the only night we had planned for Epcot. We decide to beat the Illuminations crowd out and head to the bus stop. When we stayed at the YC in November, we spent many nights at Epcot and we had seen TON and Illuminations a lot. But, we had the convenience of the Int'l Gateway to exit through. We exit the park and get on a bus, thankfully, sitting. Actually, there was a lot of room b/c the bus didn't wait for the park to close, it left once 10-15 people got on. DS fell asleep in my arms for the bus ride back. We stop at the Pepper Market to pick up some milk for DS in the morning. We just kept it in the ice bucket overnight with ice and it stayed very cold.
We strolled around the lake back to our room. It is a very beautiful resort. We all hit the pillows and fell right to sleep!
