By the time we were all up and ready it was about 9 am. My in-laws had been up and about since 5 am! They are truly Floridians! They are up with the birds! We decided that since we couldn't go into the parks that we'd hit Downtown Disney again. I wish we had known this earlier in the week, b/c DH and I wouldn't have gone there on Tuesday. But, we grabbed some coffee and bagels in the lobby and got on a bus to Downtown Disney. My MIL loved her refillable mug. She bought one and thought it was wonderful that she could keep getting coffee and soda with it! I think she got her $$ worth within the 1.5 days that they were there!
We shopped around Downtown going into Disney at Home, WOD, Once Upon a Toy and finally the lego store. I sent a few more packages back to the resort and then we decided to grab lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. My in-laws enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. We had a bit of a pushy waiter though. He kept trying to up our bill with drinks and then desserts after we had already told him no. We returned to the resort and then said goodbye to "Nana & Papa". We put our DS down for a nap and he slept for 3.5 hours!
When he woke up we decided that we'd stroll to Epcot yet again! We loved walking to Epcot every night! I got some dinner for DS and myself from Yakitori House and then we got a last minute spot for TOD parade. I love this parade too! I will truly miss it when they stop running it. I'm hoping that it will still be there in January when DS and I make a short two day trip to Disney with my Mom while we visit them.
After the parade, we went into the American Adventure and saw the flag recovered from ground zero. We had a few somber moments reflecting and then took a picture of just the flag. My DH then spent a good deal of time looking at the books in the American store. He does this every trip, I think he should buy a couple! DS found his way to the Kidcot station and began making his very first mask! He sat right down in the chair and started coloring. Then we walked past France and watched the living statues for a while. We then caught Masquerade in Italy. It was the first time we had seen them perform.
We then headed toward Future World and got our first Epcot picture to add to our collection. We got to ride the new Imagination ride with Figment next. Then, we emailed a Kodak picture and rode SE yet again! We headed out as Illuminations was going off.
