Triple D's: New Year to Reach New Goals

Welcome HockeyChic!!:welcome: :cheer2: :cheer2: I am really excited to have you on with the Triple D's. We have a fantastic group of people here that are supportive and motivating. We are hopeful that you will find a good home and fit with us. (I have to warn you though. Some of us (me) can be a little wierd sometimes but it is all in fun.:hyper: )

We do have a couple of other "newbies" that are going to be joining us very soon as well. I am planning on starting a new thread Friday or Saturday so we can check in and introduce ourselves to each other so we can go by first name or nickname basis. As far as what is going to be counted and how, I am still waiting to see if there are going to be any changes to the format that we had last year. As far as posting time and hours, I am planning on making a spreadsheet on my computer and set it up a lot like what we had last year. Right now, I am going to say (since the first of the month is on Sunday), that we should go from Sunday-Saturday. There will be a some times where we will extend the last week to get the end of the month (but that is up in the air. I will talk with Ironz and we will come to some kind of conclusion hopefully by the time I start the new thread.)

I am really excited about the new year and starting off the competition with a race. I have another half on Feb. 15. I hope everyone is doing well, staying motivated and are ready for a fantastic year.

Have a great night everyone!
Bryan:cheer2:

Good Morning everyone!!!!

Switzerland....WOW nice.

Great look forward to the new thread.

Can't wait to get to know you all

Hi just checking in I'm a displaced Rabbit. Just saying Hello and can't wait to get to know you all better. I will post on the meet thread over the weekend. Rich :thumbsup2

I always bring some back with me!

Always? As in multiple, regular trips to chocolate heaven? You are seriously *not* endearing yourself to me, stranded here. Although, um, I probably have better bagels. Yeah, right, that's it...na-na-na-na-boo-boo, I have fresh new yawk bagels and you don't. . .

Odd, somehow i don't feel any better.:scratchin

Okay, back to Triple D business. Welcome to the team, Rich! Looking forward to getting to know you better!:flower3:

Ryley26 Welcome to the Triple D's!!! I was floored by your accomplishments last season and was wanting to get to know you. Your mileage totals were incredible. If I did the math right (yep! I added it up.), you finished with over 5200 miles during the time that you were on Jessica's Rabbits. I have to say I am a bit jealous. But on another note, I do hope you find a good home and fit here with us. We have a really great bunch of people from all over the place.

Update Team, today one of our own, Twotoohappy (Liz) had surgery. I am not for sure exactly what it was on or how she is doing but I do know that she said it was today and it was to be major. I have tried to contact her a couple of times but to no success. I expect that she is in recovery or just knocked out from it all. I know how much she loves this team but she is going to need a few weeks at least to recuperate from this ordeal. But I know Liz pretty well and I can say with confidence she will come back strong and ready to run.

Hope everyone else is having a great day!!
Bryan

Here is to a speedy recovey for Liz! Hope all is well, and you are out and about soon.

Welcome to Ryley, that is some good mileage.

And, yes, it was regular trips but they have slowed somewhat in the last year. No bagels here but the croissants are better:)

Hello everyone!!! Looks like you guys are my new team, and I already got a laugh out of some of your posts. You guys seem like an awesome bunch!

I know someone mentioned there's going to be a new thread so I'll wait to post my whole lovely life story over there...but for now..

I'm Jenn, live in Jersey (could you tell?)...and just signed up for the Donald next year! I think it was temporary insanity that made me sign up but now I'm stuck with it and have to force my butt to start training!

Take care everyone! Can't wait for the fun to begin!

Hi Jen!!!!!!!

Congrats on signing up for the Donald.

We are going to be the best trainned group out there!:cheer2:

Liz: :wizard: pixie dust headed your way for a quick recovery. Hope all went well!

Jenn, welcome to the team and congrats on signing up for the half!

Ahoff, after sitting on the LIE for over an hour for what should have been a 15 minute trip, I just have to say . . .you win. Next time, take me with you!

Bryan: I saw some pix on one of the other threads, and not to embarrass you but I gotta agree with all the comments. :thumbsup2

Hi Triple D's! Just stopping over to say hello from myself and Team 'Ohana!! It looks like you're filling up your roster and are ready to pile on the miles!

Liz - I was thinking about you and your surgery yesterday. I hope it all went smoothly and that the recovery is going well.

Bryan - you are such an enthusiastic leader - the DDD's are lucky to have you as captain this year!

Hey Mickey - thanks for stopping by Ohana - it's always fun to get a visit from another team. :thumbsup2

Have a great weekend all you Dashers!

Hey everyone!

Welcome to all the new Triple D's! I hope you enjoy being part of this team as much as I have!

I had my first "run" yesterday since the half. I put it in quotes since 1) my 8-year old daughter came along so it was much slower and shorter than usual 2) we were slipping and sliding on the slush turned ice that is the sidewalks and streets of Philadelphia right now and 3) I was taking it REALLY easy anyway!

We did more than 1 1/2 miles, and Ally had a really great time, so I think it was a great start to a great year. I plan to go out for a real run on Sunday! It's supposed to be in the mid-40's - yay. I'll let you all know how that goes.

Hey Triple D's, I had a beautiful 4 mile walk today. It was 56 degree's, mostly sunny (wonderful), there was more wind than I like (gusts of 39) but WOW - this warm on January 30th is a bit of heaven.

Sorry for the interuption from another team... Walt's Warriors.

Just thought I would bump on over and say hi the Bryan!! Hey Bryan!! My Volunteering buddy!! How's it going. Know you have another Half coming up and wanted to wish you good luck with it and let me know how it goes, ok??

Hey :wave2: to Kira (a FB WISHer!) Sharon (my Minnie 15K pal - how's your hubby?) and Tricia (my neighbor in SFLa)!!!

Good luck to all the Triple D's!!

Racey Tracy

Back to your regular programming.....

Ok team. The new thread is up. Please go over there, introduce yourselves to the team and let me know if I have made a mistake in your names.

Tracy Thank you so much for the visit and thoughts before my next race. It is actually 2 weeks from tomorrow and I am so excited. I have talked a friend into doing this one with me. Actually, my new found enthusiasm about all of this has made it where several people have said that I am inspiring them to want to get healthier too. I cannot picture myself as a "motivational speaker". "My name is Matt Foley. I live in a van down by the river!":lmao: :rotfl:

Erica If there was a smiley that I could find for blushing, I would use it. I do thank you and all of the others that have said so many wonderful things about me in the last several weeks. I still am dealing with those lousy "demons" from my past but I am trying to be more optimistic. It's hard when you have heard one thing all of your life and now, all of a sudden, you here another tune but I am trying. Thanks again.

Allright team! Let's get out there and show them what the Triple D's are all about!

Thanks!
Bryan:crazy2:

Hey Race Tracy, glad you dropped by for a visit. :) I'll tell Dh you were here. You will never believe this but he agreed to do Expedition Everest with me............ha, he agreed a couple of months ago and then forgot he agreed, but I'm holding him to it. :)
