Triple A Rates??

Hi there! we are planning our trip for next year ( we haven't even gone on this years yet! haha) Do you really save that much money with a triple ! rate as opposed to not using anything? we just bought a package from Disney this year. Is it worth the money you pay for the membership? we are going to go in October again next year. THanks!

We're saving about $233 with the room discount on a MYW+Dining package at AKL standard view. Have had a AAA membership for years and wouldn't do without it. Not only do you get emergency roadside assistance, but all kinds of other discounts. We use the AAA discount on most hotel stays.

I agree. We have had our AAA membership for several years and it has always paid for itself. We have used it for roadside assistance on several occasions (a life saver)! We almost always use it for hotel discounts. Right now we have a AAA room only reservation for both POFQ & the Poly for the week after Thanksgiving. We also have 6 rooms booked at PC with a AAA package for Feb.

I haven't actually used it yet but in my research, AAA would save us about $300+ for the MYW w/dining! I plan to use AAA when we go next year! Check out their website and Disney's website to compare costs.

In general, you get 15% off Deluxe and 20% off value and moderates. It was a savings of $240 for us at Wilderness Lodge. Well worth the membership fee, esp. when you add in all the stuff you get when you're not on vacation (roadside assistance, maps, tourbooks, etc.). If you book a package with AAA there are even more perks. % off at mini golf, % off at certain stores, tours and restaurants, lanyards, luggage tags, parking passes... You can definitely recoup your membership fee if you take advantage of all these things.

Yes you will need to have a membership because they will ask for your member number.

You get 20% off values and moderates during value season
15% off during regular and peak season.

You get 15% off deluxes during value season and 10% off during regular and peak season.

For those of you using triple A discounts, do they require each adult in your party to have a membership? I was looking at the membership cost...$60 then $30 for each family member/associate. I was thinking of getting a membership in my name for the hotel discounts but was confused by the add on associate option.

No - you just need one member to check-in. We do have the membership & associate membership for DH and I though - otherwise one of us wouldn't have the auto roadside assistance.

My DH is a mechanic and I think most things he would need he could handle himself. I believe our auto insurance has a roadside add on for things like locksmith and towing. There are a couple of nice *perks* that AAA provides that I don't believe my roadside package covers and will be nice to have in a pinch. THANKS!
