Has anyone heard of this company or worked with them? They are based out of Williamsburg VA. Seems to do a lot of stuff with wyndham.

They offer a great deal of an 8 night stay at WBC for less than 1000.

Never heard of them. If you have a quote, VS would match them since they are a business and not a private renter.

Tripbound is also a business.....I found them through VRBO and have been researching them. They are on the BBB. Right now VS doesn't have anything so that is a little scary for me.

Let me put this out there....I am one of the LETS STAY ON PROPERTY people.....going off is very new to me and a little more scary since my husbands job is always a issue with us no matter far far or how little we plan ANYTHING. Being on property I can cancel up to 5 days prior to check in. All these others are 20 or more days.

With those constraints, if you are thinking offsite, one of the Disney Springs suite hotels may be better. Their cancellation policies are probably better. However, there prices are usually higher as well. You can look at Mousesavers for discounts at those resorts. Just something else to checkout as other options. Windsor Hills is another option if you talk with the owner directly. They may be flexible. Maybe they don't refund but hold for another date. Trying to throw out some other options for you.

Looked at EVERYTHING to please EVERYONE as much as I can. My husband wants a villa style with a resort feeling. We have 2 young kids and want to save money on food with making dinner at the hotel since we won't be in the parks at that hour since kids are in bed around 7.

I know I know ..... I have all these constraints. But we are willing to make a few compromises...we even talked about it last night trying to see if my deal I was offered of 976 was good at the end of the day.

As far as the deal goes, I think it is high for that season. As you can see the deals that are out now for Prime season are near or less than that. You should be able to get a 2BR for $600-$750 in September. It is hard to tell with the new system though. Renting timeshares is a test on your constitution and what you are will to compromise for if something falls through.

With the hectic schedule, I would just wait. There are a ton of options. The biggest question is how far off property would you be willing to go? I have read incredible things about Reunion. It is a tad bit farther out. I think all Wyndham units are 3BR villas. There is a deal for Sept already for $699. I know, it doesn't have the cancellation policy. You have Orange Lake Resort, Windsor Hills, Sheraton Vistana, Silver Lake, and a ton of other places.

One thing to do is pretend your vacation is at the end of June (Peak season). Search what is on the available market right now and the price. This will give you a huge idea of what you could expect if you waited until the end of August/early September.

I have been working with VS and on the waitlist for 7 nights. They are saying my stay would be 1367. I have been doing my homework. To me even the 976 is already a steal for what I have booked at Disney right now. VS even said we don't think it will come down.

We do have a lot of wheels to this trip. I started this homework over a month ago after my husband said no more on property for right now.

My suggestion.....Go check out Redweek.com. I have used Redweek to rent for over the 5 years and never had a problem. Now if you need cancellation options, I think you and the owner can work out something in the event plans change. Last year I got a 2bedroom unit for 7 days at WBC for only $599. The owner had points that were about to expire and offered that GREAT deal. I am not familiar with this tripbound company so I cannot offer any advice on them. I prefer redweek.com and TUG (tug2.net) when I want to rent. I know some people use Vacation Strategy and I have never been able to get a good deal thru them at all so I can't sing their praises either. But many people LOVE working with VS, so they appear to be a very reputable company. Now with all of that being said, I do respect the opinions and experiences of the previous poster (BigRedNole). So I would follow their advice and reach out to VS for a price match. Wouldn't hurt to ask. Many people on the Disboards use and recommend Vacation Strategy, so I would use them over tripbound. Good luck. :thumbsup2

Ok....so you already have a quote from VS. The quotes they have given me in the past has always been higher than what I find on redweek. So I gave up on them. What are your dates? Lets start there and I can give some ideas of what I am seeing on Redweek. If you are traveling in September, your prices should be under $1000 for the week at WBC. Give me your dates and lets see what we can find.

I just got off the phone with VS and they are looking to see if price matching will work. The dates that we are liking with this new price is Sept 28-Oct 6

VS can't price match as they don't have dates available. VS thinks that trip bound is dealing with a private owner.

Ok...Sept 28 to Oct 6. Generally, timeshare properties offer weekly stays. It is either a check-in on Friday, Sat, or Sun. Now VS may have other check-in day options, but generally a weekly stay usually is from Friday-Friday or Sat-Sat or Sun-Sun. If we arrive a day early we generally check into a basic hotel for sleep and shower, then check into WBC the next morning. It's an option to consider. Sometimes you may find a one night rental too. Not sure if they will make you change rooms. Meaning if you stay one night and then have to check-out from there and check-in to your weekly unit, will it require you to change rooms? Anyway, I did check Redweek, and I do see units available for rent for your dates for under $1000/week. However, in order to rent from owners on redweek, there is a membership fee of $15/year. So that is something else to consider.

I might only be able to see so much with the free login. And to be a member its 19 bucks. So it is something I am considering too. I am just trying to figure this all out with the logistics of also my mother in law who is flying in from Oregon.

I didnt realize there was a price increase to $19. I still prefer Redweek over other sites. If you feel comfortable to try Tripbound, then maybe you can come back and let us know how everything went. It only takes one person to give positive or negative feedback to spread the word. Let us know what you decide and how your plans are going. Good Luck. :goodvibes

I'm following along, as I'm looking for a possible two week stay at WBC at the end of November and came across Tripbound as well...

So far they have been great after I kind of complained on Facebook. I was able to get an 8 night stay in a 2 bedroom for less than 1000. Now the worst issue with them so far is that if I need to cancel its 30 days and 100 bucks. But at least it was something. Vacation strategy was who I was going to go with but we just had too many moving parts to the trip that I needed to get the stress off my back. With them you also have to pay the whole thing up front.

I have seen a few posts on here that people have used SkyAuction to book WBC too !!! It may be worth a look !!! Many people on here can help give suggestions and advice when using SkyAuction, so I would consider it an option.........
