WE are flying on the 29 April and need a good hotel in Naples,so come on guys I know some of you must have been down there, please let me know what you thought and any good hotels in the area.It does not have to be directly on the beach,I have been told the Residence Inn (tamiami trial)was good and has a free breakfast and a free shuttle to the beach 1 mile away.

Hi Mickey

We stayed at the Quality Inn Gulfcoast in 1997 and found it to be really nice. Very clean, nice pool, excellent pool bar!, quite near the beach, breakfast included too. It was in a fairly central location too. What we did enjoy the most though was the Japanese Restaurant Fuijiama's (sp) where they serve Tepanyaki style. It was fantastic and great fun.

We didnt have very good weather unfortunately during our stay - but we had a great time exploring the areas and we did some amazing things that holiday like, airboat ride in the Everglades, went to a real live Rodeo, went to the Mikosuki (sp) Indian Reservation and lots of other things.. Marco Island was lovely too.

Hope this helps

Hi Mickey UK,
We are going down to Naples from Orlando mid April. This will be our first visit there, but friends recomended it. We are staying at Best Western Inn and Suites, with a suite that cost a fraction of our Disney hotel, It looks really nice in the photos and is half a mile from the beach. Our friends stay at Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club but we felt we couldnt justify the cost as we are taking in a Universal Hotel too.
Naples is said to be less crowded than other beach resorts nearer Orlando.
Can't wait to go, but what we hear on the daily news is a worry.

Hi, we're also going to Naples (but will have left before you arrive). Staying at Trianon Old Naples. Haven't been before, but it looks nice. Reasonably priced with breakfast. Not too far from beach and Tin City (whatever that is!)
