Trip to Cancun

I posted a while ago asking for advice about whether or not to go on an all expense paid trip to Cancun for work. I was nervous about going alone and leaving my 3 kids and DH home alone for 5 days. I had decided not to go but just couldn't stop thinking about it.

Well I just decided I am going and had them book it for me today. I will be staying at an all inclusive resort for 5 nights FOR FREE! There will be meetings in the mornings but the afternoons and nights will be all mine. The best part is I get to bring someone with me and my girlfriend is going to run away with me.

I feel kind of guilty and I wouldn't say that my husband is very happy about this but I really think I need to do something just for me. I do everything around the house and for the kids and work full time. I think I deserve a break.

I just wanted to thank you guys for all of the positive responses.

What is there to feel guilty about? I assume you would be there for DH if he was going to travel for work, so as your partner, shouldn't he do the same for you? He should be happy for you, since you will come home feeling great.....I would think about adding a couple days to the end of your trip so you could do some of the things you might not have time for between meetings!

Enjoy the water there, too. It is gorgeous!!

Cancun is beautiful you will have such a great time. We last went in 96 and I cant wait to go back. You will feel guilty for the leaving the kiddo's--I did when I went to dis con--but you can still have a great time and bring them back some really cool stuff.

I went to Cancun in November and loved it. You can be as relaxed or as busy as you want to be. The water is beautiful. I will go again.
