First off, we didn't eat everywhere we had planned b/c we were sick with a stomach virus during our trip..... but it didn't stop us completely!
-Dinner at Chef Mickey's- well, we went for the characters and they were terrific! Had Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. Very organized with the timing of the characters and great interaction! Donald kept knocking over a chair and ds6 would pick it up- this went on for 5 minutes while Donald visited the rest of the room. Kids had a great time! Oh yea, food- it was what it was- ok I guess. Nothing spectacular, nothing horrible. Served the purpose of dinner. Dh said the prime rib was pretty good...
- CRT breakfast- early seating before park opened- magical! The price is pricey- but the look on dd's face was more than worth it (dh said he would pay double the price for her reaction!) Princesses were: Cinderella in lobby, Belle, Jasmine, Aurora, and Snow White- the perfect line-up according to dd8! All were friendly and had good interaction! They do stay a bit longer if you strike up a conversation with them. They were all good about prodding the kids to talk also though. The organization of this place is a riot- they have the timing down to an art! They know how to seat you, get your food to you and you eating, introduce the princesses, and get everyone seen and you out for the next people to come. It was simply magical and we loved it!!! dd8 was so happy she was almost in tears- that is priceless.....And, we got out just in time for rope drop and for dd8 to get to Tink's shop to wake up Tink (I think eating in the castle at the early seating is your best shot at waking up Tink) Oh yea, we ate here too. It was good I guess- I was too busy soaking up the atmosphere, videoing dd, and enjoying her reaction!
- Dinner at Crystal Palace- food was good, probably better than Chef Mickey's, but I was very disappointed in the character organization of this one. The waitress told us to go get our food, it would be a while before a character came. So we did, and we missed Eeyore. Two tables missed him and we were told he would come back. Saw Tigger and Piglet quickly, but were done eating 5 minutes before Pooh entered our side of the dining room. Waited on Pooh. Still, no Eeyore. I spoke to a character handler- told me he'd get him right over. 5 more minutes and Eeyore was through with his rotation and headed in. Spoke to the character 'manager' I guess- the waitress said he was the 'manager' of the handlers, he got Eeyore back for us and got the pictures we wanted- the other table gave up and left. This used to be our favorite meal, but the food was ok this time and the character organization really lacked.
-Pizza Planet- hadn't planned on this one- but of course ds6 saw the title and Woody and Buzz on top of the building- and we were in. Very fast service and pizza was much better than I had expected! Good experience.
- Lunch at Crystal Palace our last day- decided to keep the ADR and give it another shot- not quite as bad as first time, but the organization of the characters was still lacking. Waited 10 minutes after slowly eating lunch and desserts to see the last two characters. The waitress said they had had a lot of complaints about it lately. Anyway, food was ok again- the price was certainly better than dinner!
Had many counter service meals- hard to find food that is good for a recovering stomach after a stomach virus!!!! (no saltine crackers in the parks!) All in all- good food and good experiences. The character meals were good for what they are- you really go for the characters and that is what we did. Just wish WDW would serve SWEET TEA and Dr. Pepper!!!!

Good review on characters. I'm sorry you were sick. I can't wait until my DD (now 8 weeks) will be old enough to enjoy the princesses. I'm glad your family had such a good experience at CRT.

Thanks for writing and posting your reviews :)

Too bad about the stomach virus, good to hear you made the best of it :goodvibes
