Trip reports - small vent

I was about to start my TR today but now I feel a bit :scared: :scared: :scared:

Which ever way I do it is going to irritate somebody somewhere.

Oh buggrit, I'll just do it myyyyyyyy waYYYYYYYYYYY (now I sound like Frank Sinatra  )

Whichever way you do it Im sure it will be fun and entertaining and I'll definitely be reading it

Absolutely :goodvibes

To everyone please keep up the reports and photographs (links and/or in reports). In between trips I live vicariously through the experiences of others. Not least because even after a number of visits there are still experiences that we have not done. Regarding photos many a posters angle or presentation has inspired me to seek out that new photograph on a future visit :)

If pictures included in TR's is a problem for some people (e.g. work connections or small handhelds or on dial up, perhaps there should be something in the title of the TR indicating it includes pics.

Though i guess we'd need a guide to writing TR's sticky to make ure people did this.

I love reading peoples reports no matter what shape size or colour they come in!!...keep them coming everyone!:thumbsup2 And there is no such thing as too many photos!!

I love looking at trip reports too, I actually perfer the ones with lots of pictures in as I love looking at them! Those of you who know me know that I love posting pictures!!

I prefer reading seperate ones. It would be a good idea to have a seperate section for the TR's though. But I like reading them seperate because its easier in chunks if you dont have as much time and i really love seeing photos with them too. I really enjoy TR's.

I always write mine in multiple threads because I find it easier that way. Although I don't mind how other people write them ~ I enjoy reading them however they're written/posted and the more photos the better whether they're links or posted photos.

We have asked for a separate trip report board but in the meantime it would be really helpful if anyone posting a trippie could post their links up on the end of the Trip Reports sticky. :goodvibes

Personally, I think that the index post will be useful, even if (when?) we do get a separate trip report board, as people's comments will of course mean that the threads won't be conveniently placed in order. Plus it's useful when looking for a christmas related TR because that's when you want to go.

I don't mind them either way - I just love reading them and looking at (tons) of pictures!:thumbsup2

I prefer them as separate threads although I enjoy reading both kinds of trip reports.

I think that if you do each day separately you can take your time and put in more details and photos as opposed to doing it all on one thread, you might feel inclined to rush etc. That's how most people do it on the UK Trip Report Board.

I would love to see a Paris Trip Report section :cheer2:

I like them on seperate threads as then you dont get lots of comments between each day, which on some TRs can make it hard to find the subsequent days.

WHat I did with my TR was link to the previous day at the start of each thread and to the next day at the end. Then you dont have to search.

Also, they all end up grouped together on the trip reports sticky anyway.

Us DLRP do need a few diffrent boards though!

A TR one and definitely an O/T one!! lol.
