Ok here goes my firdt trip report!
So we only went for 1 day (money, time blah blah),but we definately made the most of it!
Flew with easyjet (brilliant service) at 7.40am and landed at CDG at 10am.We had hired a car,but the budget office was at terminal 1 and we were at terminal 3 (oops!),so we made it over there only to discover THEY WOULDN'T LET US HAVE THE CAR!Apparently you have to leave a 600 euro deposit in France, well this wasn't in the small print and neither mum or i had that much to spare,so no car-even though we had already payed for it.So all we could do was race down and get on the VEA bus (fuming at this point as we had wasted an hour af precious disney time).
When we got to the park we were suddenly overtaken by the disney magic :rotfl: .It's amazing what an effect it can have!!!Mum got all excited about the xmas trees, snow, decorations etc.I felt like i was finally home, apparently i had a grin from ear to ear all day!
We saw mickey, minnie, chip & dale, goofy, rafikki, robin hood and too many more to mention. The highlight for me was meeting donald, having never seen him before i was in total awe!!!

Same about the hire car. Sounds like you had a wonderful time :)

What lovely photos! How awful about the car, there should have been something in the small print. :( At least you didn't let it spoil your day. What time did you have to leave? Did you get chance to see the parades and the tree lighting ceremony?

Ok,so having met plenty of old friends we headed for some rides. We went on small world twice (mums absolute favourite),pirates (my favourite),pinocchio, snow white, peter pan and i went on thunder mountain alone (mum thinks she'll fall out on the bends!).
We had lunch in colonel hathis outpost and then headed over to space mountain-broke down (rats!),so we watched the end of lion king instead.
We then sat on the benches at the side of the castle to watch the xmas parade,it was fabulous!Father christmas was doing disco moves in his sled and the toy soldiers were doing some serious dance moves! Not sure they were supposed to as the walkie talkie woman kept running over to stop them!
:rotfl: :rotfl:

sorry i'm a bit slow at this!!!only just learning how to put photos in!!I was writing the next bit when you replied :goodvibes
We saw the tree lighting ceremony which was very emotional,we saw tinkerbell light up the castle and the new lights on main street. It really is magical,it brought a tear to my eye :wizard:
we did a bit of shopping (goes without saying really!) and then we stood on the corner of main street to watch fantillusion. It was really cold by this time,i could feel my arm going numb while i was holding the camcorder!! :cold: It was worth it though, the music and the lighting is fantastic

Last bit now  After the parade we went to get the 7.50 bus back to CDG.We were at the bus stop at 7.40,and at 7.55 the VEA bus sailed passed us (how he missed the 2 waving lunatics i'll never know :confused3 ).
Panic set in then-last bus gone-what are we gonna do?We were having one seriously bad day for transport.
We saw a disney hotel bus and asked him for advice, the nice guy told us to get on and he flew round to the sequoia lodge(overtook the VEA bus),so that we could catch it at its last stop.We were so greatfull to him for saving us from missing our flight. The VEA arrived 10 minutes later and we got safely back to the airport for our 10.30 flight home.We couldn't believe what a great day we had despite the 2 hiccups (we are not dizzy people-honest!).
Would definately go for the day again.

Thank you so much for your report!! It's great to hear what fun you had, just going for the day. :flower: Makes me even more excited about my day trip in January!! :Pinkbounc

Awwww, I could feel your excitement, and also your panic at the airport. So glad it didn't spoil your day. LOL @ your mum being worried about falling out on the bends... bless! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I hope my first trip report will be as good as yours, I really enjoyed it.

Oops, sorry for hassling you!  I really enjoyed reading that, your photos of Fantillusion have come out so well.

Your day sounds really exciting, apart from the fun with transport LOL, it must be great not to be bogged down with luggage! :)

that was one of the best bits-not hanging around for luggage in the airport!!
We did have 1 or 2 extra bags coming back though-all that disney shopping!!!I went a bit mad on tree decorations,we will need a bigger tree this year.

Reminded me of when we went in the summer and one of the cast members let go of her set of balloons and it looked like this from below:

While I have lots of obsessions and distractions, Disneyland Resort Paris is THE greatest fun to be had and we look forward to each trip with much excitement.

ooh i wonder where all those balloons went to-maybe florida for a change of scenery!!!

Wow, sounds like you packed so much into your day! Thank goodness for that bus driver who made sure you could catch the VEA!

I think we ALL look forward to our trips immensely - we've only been back two weeks and are planning our next trip - as are you I expect!!

Great trip report

Did you not have a credit card to leave or is that not allowed?
Nikki

we didnt take them for fear of overspending in the park, also 600 euros is a lot of money for them to assume people have-even on a credit card.We spoke to budget when we got home and they said that France is the only country that asks for such a high deposit,no reason why though. We also when through the website where we booked and there is definately no mention of the deposit required-bizarre :confused3
