My daughter and I arrived at our "boardwalk view" one bedroom unit on Thursday. Lovely room - with a view from the 5th floor just to the side of "Jelly Rolls".....between that and the lagoon it was really something else....very pretty.

The room was in excellent condition - the staff was friendly and helpful....all in all a wonderful experience. I just checked into Saratoga Springs....absolutely gorgeous GV....this place is going to be outstanding when they finish construction.

BTW, for those of you wondering where Rich "is" - I visited OKW today and scattered ashes in back of the Lighthouse (over the rocks), and his father put some at the back of the very last building (facing the golf course).
I then visited MK and placed some at the Haunted Mansion (right at the bottom of the tombstone that reads "Here Lies Good Ol Fred, a big boulder fell on his head". We're going to EPCOT tonight, so I'll continue there....

Lisa, that is so uplifting! The spirit of Richyams lives on at WDW! :cloud9: Have a great trip and cherish those memories. :grouphug:

Have a wonderful trip, Lisa :wizard: I'll be thinking of you...I know you will find more special places for Rich!

Lisa :flower:

Oh Lisa...my favorite tombstone has now taken on all new meaning!!! I'm sure Rich is very happy!!!

I'll be down in a few days and will be sure to visit Rich. My father's name is Fred and for many years now he and the rest of the family always gets a kick out of that tomestone. I can't wait to tell Dad that Rich is at the Fred tombstone. Glad you're enjoying your stay, although I'm sure there's sadness there too.

Thanks for sharing where Rich 'is', Lisa - I'll never walk by Good Old Fred without thinking of him !!! - (and smiling!) :smooth:
Who knows, maybe someday I'll even leave BWV and spend a few days at OKW! - Enjoy the rest of your trip !!!

That is great Lisa. It's comforting to know that part of Rich will be in one of his favorite places on earth. Enjoy and thanks for sharing.

Lisa thank you for letting us all know where RIch is. That is so thoughtful of you. I too will always say 'Hey' to our old friend when we visit The Haunted Mansion. I am glad your vacation is a good one and hope you and your daughter enjoy the rest too. Barb

Thank you for sharing this with us Lisa.
God bless you and your family. He is very much missed around here, but his spirit is alive.

Thanks for the information Lisa, it will give me the chance to pay my respects. Actually SEVERAL chances by the sound of it :D

Thanks for the update Lisa, and the begining trip report. I will be sure to pay my respects at the various locations on our next trip. Nice idea!

Hi Lisa--
I am not a community board regular, but I remember and enjoyed Richyams posts, and I wanted to express my condolences on your loss. We will be sure to say a quick prayer at the OKW lighthouse in April. Take care--

 Thanks for the stories. Made all the more interesting to me as I was just telling my family I wanted the same done with some of my ashes! They asked me for a list of places I wanted to be................I'm just glad to know I'm not the only one thinking that way!

I see you stayed Waaaaay down at the end of the long BWV hallway. :rotfl2: How appropriate!

Hope your trip Home is wonderful.

Hi,

Glad you are having a good time. Thanks for sharing!

Allison

Thanks for your post! Seeing Rich's screen name gave me the goosebumps. I'm glad he's resting in his absolute favorite place. I'll think of him when I visit the Haunted Mansion in 3 weeks.

God Bless....
