Back form a wonderful weekend at the Ft. and of course the parks. The parks were not as packed as previous MLK weekends and DD had her 12 year old birthday there and had a great time!!!

The Cast members did a great job at making her birth day very special!!!!!

Now for the campgrounds....We stayed on the 300 loop and if anyone was there heard me cheering on the Pats on Sunday hahaha!!!

The BAD part was the ( I am sure non Dismembers) who lacked the ability to clean up after their dogs....This was the worst I have ever seen in which people would not clean up after their pets. I myself carry TWO bags in case my dog has to go twice....There was @#%# on the streets on our site and in the street even...So let me count...I stepped in it, my wife my daughter and Sunday nite after extra hours I was washing floor mats cleaning shoes and cleaning the camper...My neighbor the poor soul must have heard me at 2am washing the steps to the camper because my daughter tracked it in from stepping in it....

THIS was pathetic and possibly the worse I have seen...I saw so many people walking their dogs with bags and even nicely commented that they needed to carry a bag...The response I received was " No I don't we are outside and if you dont like it don't go camping!"

I called the front desk at 3am after all the cleaning and told them the situation at the loop...

SO...just releasing frustrations at the lack of consideration for those who dont clean after your own pets when Ft. Wilderness even supplies the bags!

Oh and Rockin' Roller Coaster was closed so DW was bummbed...I had to buy her another WDW bag...

that would drive me nuts! I was driving home yesterday when I saw a lady with her dog walking in front of my house and she let her dog "go" on my lawn..( not even on the edge, like 10 feet in) and then start to walk away. I beeped at her and told her my yard wasnt her dogs bathroom and at least she could have picked it up...she locked shocked and walked away.
I was tempted to go bag it for her and follow her home and put it in her lawn but it was pouring. Lucky hubby saw her a while later drive by and pick it up... or I would have...:rolleyes1

It's this kind of behavior that will get pets banned from FW, ruining it for those of us who clean up after our pets. It really isn't that hard, and I would much prefer to clean up after my pooch than step in it.

I agree...and like I said it was the worse I have ever seen it.....

This is what i'm afraid of too. I wouldn't walk my dog w/o a bag at home, so i'd NEVER do it on vacation. What is WRONG with people? We have a large yard and are on the corner, so we get our share of "presents" from the dog's and their walkers. One time, i got to the half way point of walking my dog and realized i forgot a bag. I hurried my dog home, but of course , she HAD to go a block from my house. I didn't know what to do. I thought, well, i will get her home and come back but a lady yelled out the door "would you like a paper towel and bag for that". I was SO thankful for her doing that! I have never forgotten a bag since but i usually try to get my dog to go before we leave for our walk.
I am staying in that loop in the summer. I will be on the lookout for dog dirt and their inconsiderate humans!! ;)

:(

That is one reason I'm upset that so many loops allow pets now. We don't have a dog, and I don't want to deal with the mess from someone else's. One of my kids is a light sleeper who loves dogs, and I'm afraid a tiny bark will have her running out the door looking for the puppy!

I just don't get it. With so many kids around, how can people be so thoughtless?

I don’t think WDW will ever take the pet loops away. It seems to me they are adding more. Disney make to much money on pets. We stayed over New Years four 6 nights and we paid $35 for our dog to stay on the site. You can have up too 10 people on a site with no charge; But 1 dog cost 5 dollars a night seems like a great moneymaker to me. It cost WDW very little to have people keep their pet on their site. If all the dogs in the 1600 loop for their whole stay used up $5.00 in bag it would amaze me. Don’t get me wrong I pay the charge just to keep Rudy with us. I do take bags to clean up after Rudy

We have a dog also. I agree this is what gives dog owners a bad name. I would never not pick up after our pup..and we have a new puppy now. I have had it happen ...where for whatever reason I didn't have a bag..and I would go back and pick it up. That usually only happens once before you remember to keep a bag in your coat pocket! I wouldn't want to be in a loop with all that poop..very unsanitary. I wonder if you called check in desk about the situation being unhealthy if they would do more about it. If they plan to have more dog loops they should also have staff to clean up after those guests that don't. At least every day or so. Mind you.. not making any excuse for those who don't clean up after their pets..but I think you are going to find that attitude among some people. FW should address it in some way if they are offering more pet loops. Imagine THAT odor in the heat of August.
