Today, I again have breakfast at Spoodles (much earlier - about 8:30.) This time I have the Mickey Waffles. They are around $7.00, so the complete breakfast was a little more than yesterday ($10.55 including tip.) By the way, they DO offer sugar free syrup for diabetics. I then went back to the room at the Boardwalk to brush my teeth.
THEN comes the part of some of my trips I don't like - changing hotels. I checked out of the Boardwalk and asked them to transfer my luggage to the Contemporary (where I will be staying for the remainder of my visit.) This means I will have no hotel room to go back to for a rest during the afternoon.
I take the boat to the International Gateway, enter World Showcase and head to Spaceship Earth and ride it again. I then visit the Living Seas exhibit. They now allow you to skip the preshow film and go into the "elevators" to enter the exhibit.
I looked in to check on the ride in the Land, but it appeared to be a long line, so I did not wait to ride it this time. I left Epcot, after a quick look for my Legacy plaque (couldn't find it and it was too hot to spend much time looking for it. Heat discourages me from putting much effort into doing anything.) I took the Monorail to the TTC and then caught the monorail to the Contemporary. I checked in there, but they said my room would not be available until after 3:00. They also said that, unlike the All Stars, I would actually have to be in my room before they would deliver my luggage.
I requested a room in the North wing so I would be close to the walkway to MK.
It was too hot to take the walkway at this time, however. I jumped on the monorail for MK. In case any of you are unaware, coming from MK, the first stop is the Contemporary, but going TO MK it is the 3rd stop. You travel to the Polynesian and then the Grand Floradian before the MK. Guess where I headed when I arrived? That's right - the ice cream parlor. Nope, it was not open yet. Doesn't open until 12:00. I headed for Buzz Lightyear. Too long a line - too hot. So, I ride the People Mover. After that I head to the Liberty Tree Tavern in Liberty Square and make a reservation for 12:00. There were a few people ahead of me, so I did not get seated until about 12:20. I had the turkey and dressing. Good, as usual. The Liberty Tree is my favorite place to eat at WDW.
I decided to give up on MK. It turns out that Sundays are now an Early Entry day for MK. So, I headed for Animal Kingdom. Got there and found it to be just too hot. Came back and found that I had room 7159 (2nd room from the end of the North wing) and went to it and had my luggage sent to me.
Watched different courts (Judge Brown, Judge Judy, etc.) on TV and went to bed early again. By now, you all have guessed that I don't plan on going to WDW during hot weather again.
