Day 5
Today we visited Animal Kingdom. Our alarm did not go off that morning so we were not in line as early as we would have liked to have been. We got there right as the park opened. We headed straight to the safari ride and FP. we also got our pic with Flik!! Then we did the Pangani Trail and ate breakfast at the Tusker House Restaurant (Great Food, Low Price)!!!
When we got on the Kilimanjaro Safaris, it started raining. There were also not many animals out even though we got there pretty early. When we got off, it had stopped raining, so we went to Rafiki's Planet. I did not enjoy it as well as the rest of the park. I guess because it's aimed more for children. But, we got to see an owl being x-rayed!! (which is great because we also do x-rays)!!
After that we went to the Kali River Rapids. It said there was a 15 minute wait (but it was only because it took that long to get there)!!! We got on without having to wait in line. Halfway into the ride it started raining ALOT!!! (which was good cuz we were already wet). We then headed over to the Bug's Life movie. It was good and funny!!! Then we went to FP Dinousaur and we rode Primeval Whirl in the meantime. We also ate at the Mcdonald's. I got a hamburger and fries and water for 7.00. Then we got on Dinosaur. SCARY!!!!(even for big kids like us)!!!
After Dinoland we went to Camp Minnie-Mickey. We got our pics with Lilo and Stitch, Brother bears (Kenai and Koda), and Pochahontas. Then we went to the Festival of the Lion King. It was a very good show. We were in the elephant section. The acrobat monkeys were great!!! Afterwards it started raining AGAIN. So we invested in a Mickey Mouse poncho. As soon as we bought it, it stopped raining!!!! (for the rest of the week)!!! Then we got on a bus to the TTC and we got on the monorail to Magic Kingdom.
We had a 6:50 reservation at Cinderella's Castle. We were an hour early so we went to get our pic made with Ariel (who was also Jasmine) in Ariel's Grotto. The wait was 40 minutes!!! By the time we were done, it was time to go eat. So we went to the castle and told the lady our name...and she said NO!! After giving us a heart attack, she found our name and apologized. We still had to wait about 30 minutes. But while inside the castle, Mary Poppins and Mr. Penguin came down and we got our pics made with them. When we finally got to eat, we decided to get a "Bippity Boppity Brew". It was a orange dreamsicle smoothie in a collectible mug. (Definately worth it!!!) Then they brought us out pretzel rolls (Yum). I got the Queen cut prime rib with mashed potatos. It was so good!!! But it was huge!!!!! Even though we were stuffed, we had dessert. I had the Fantasyland Sorbet. It was Raspberry sorbet with berries and bananas and chocolate syrup with mint leaves!!! VERY GOOD. Steph got a good apple thing and sarah had cappucino creme brulee. When we were done we tried to get out two different ways...but we could not figure out how to get out until a CM told us that we had to exit out of the front of the castle!! So, we exited and we were able to sit right in front of the castle for our 2nd round of fireworks!! They were even better the 2nd time!!! Afterwards, we went back to our NOISY hotel. OHHH..we saw an armadillo walking on the sidewalk and took pics of it!!!!
lol
