Hi All,
Just wanted to offer up a few bits of information on my trip to Disney this past week, 11/11-11/17. My girlfriend and I stayed at Pop Century and it was our first time using magic bands. We are frequent visitors, this is our second time in 6 months, so we know just about everything there is to know about Disney World. With that said...
1) Magic bands worked great! No issues getting into the rooms whatsoever. We also used it for charging privileges and again worked great. I actually lost my magic band at DHS halfway through my trip. When I returned to the resort, I reported it missing and was issued a new grey MB. Everything worked perfectly with the replacement MB and never had a single issue.
2) Fastpass + worked awesome too. We had all of our days planned out weeks before so it was easy to have the headliners booked. We actually did change quite a few things the day of and it was very simple to change. One thing I was very impressed about was when Peter Pan went down for an hour or so during our fastpass time. We received and email saying we had a free fastpass from the start of our scheduled time to park close to use on any ride we wanted. We used it on Peter Pan when it eventually started running again.
3) Fantasmic fastpass+ not worth it
4) Pop Century food court isn't what it was a couple years ago. Deff a downgrade in food in my opinion. We walked over to Art of Animation food court a few times and that good court was great. Better selection of food and the build your own burger was awesome.
5) Old fastpasses could not be pulled with KTTW card. A card would come out and it said "this card was not used for admission" somthing along those lines.
