Hi all - Arrived in Orlando Thursday night and stayed at Wingate Inn - great hotel with a good breakfast. Friday morning Tiffany town car came and picked us up for our free grocery stop and then on to the Polynesian. We are a family of four DH, me, DS(10) and DD (6). We arrived around 10:30 in the morning and checked in. I had requested Tahiti but here is the really really great part. We were UPGRADED to CONCIERGE. I was so excited as I had dreams that this would happen. It was so nice to be able to use the lounge and get all that extra stuff.
Our 10 year old son loved it. We ate breakfast up in the lounge every morning. Unfortunately, we had to throw out some of our breakfast items we had bought at the store.
The Polynesian is beautiful. We watched the fireworks and boat show almost every night and the kids loved it.
We ate at Chef Mickeys, Boma, California Grill, Le Cellier, Norway Princess Dinner, Hoop-Dee-Doo, Crystal Palace for breakfast and our last night ate at Kona Cafe. All of our meals were great except Kona. We had a meal here two years ago and it was one of our best but this time the food was just ok and we felt rushed. We will try it again next time probably just an off night for them. The California Grill meal was fabulous and the sushi was excellent.
We went to all the parks plus my husband and son went to Typhoon Lagoon and had a blast. That day I took my daughter to BBB at the Magic Kingdom which she also loved.
It was much more crowded this time then two years ago when we went at the same time but still no big lines. Animal Kingdom was the only real waits we had and on some of the days the parks were empty.
