Trip Report from "You know Who"

When we did Movie Ride 2 years ago it was a gangster, this time it was a Cowboy bandit.

As far as the great movie ride goes....

There are 4 cars.

The first two cars travel through the gangster scene and then stop in the western scene where the cars are hijacked by a cowboy/girl.

The second two cars stop in the gangster scene to be hijacked, then just travel through the Western scene.

Thanks for clearing that up. We have seen both, but I didn't know exactly how that worked. I heard that back in 2001, when Disney had made entertainment cutbacks that they only ran 2 cars at a time and therefore only had one scene or the other operational. I wonder if we are headed back to that again with all of the cutbacks now and projected for 2009?

Well it's pretty easy to tell. When you first enter the boarding area, just see how many cars they are boarding. If it's 4, they are running both rooms.

I'm going Sunday for Super Soap, dont ask, not my idea, its for a friend, but maybe I'll ride to find out.

(My firend got us a ressie at Brown Derby to make up for the fact that I have to spend the day with thousands of screaming women!) :lmao:

Ahh...so how come we've ONLY managed to see the gangster version? I'm going to have to try asking for the western cars.

I have heard on rare occasions instead of a gangster taking the car it's a bandit.

Loving your report, Rosie! :goodvibes

When we went in August it was our ninth trip. (We just started going in 2005, so it was our 9th trip in under 4 years.) DS12 LOVES the Movie Ride. I mean he LOVES it. We have been on it DOZENS of times and NEVER managed to see the cowboy. Finally this year we managed to see the cowboy! Once. In a 16 night trip. But we DID see it! :thumbsup2

I'm waiting for more???? I know the election and subsequnt loss to the goat ahs had you a bit out of sorts....but get cracka lackin

Yes Ma'am,

I'll get back to it this evening!
Loving yours too!

Wednesday: A Day Off

Wednesday was set aside as a day to sleep in; and yes, we slept in later than usual. I think I didn't stir until noon and that was only because Mom wanted her coffee.

Even though I am quite the lazy soul we planned to do little laundry today because after the espresso machine, my Ipod, notebooks and such...there was hardly any room in my suitcase for clothes! To heck with clothes I say! (But that's a whole other thread).

I was well prepared for laundry day. I had my quarters, my sample pack of Tide and my dryer sheets..( My delicate heiney demands that my underthings are soft!)

Mom and I sat by the quiet pool, reading, sipping iced tea and doing crosswords. It seemed like the laundry was done in no time at all. For those of you who do not know: The year before I moved to Portland I worked in a friends laundermat. This was the excuse Mom used to get me to do all the work. She said: "I've been waiting to watch how you fold clothes". Ok, truth be told I can fold clothes like nobodies business...so there I was: I'd pull an item from the pile and Mom would say "that's mine" as if I didn't know my own shorts. It went on like this for a while until........
(you sensitive types might want to skip this next part)
I pull a pair of underwear from the pile and Mom say's "They're mine"..uh..er..no, "These are mine" I say somewhat shaken. Sure enough Mom and I had the very same undies!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: I will leave it to you to decide whether I was wearing undies more suited to a grandma..or did Mom have panties best worn by me?????

Left with very little appetite, it was time to for dinner. Tonight's feast was at The Yacht and Beach Club's Cape May. There was a bit of a wait to get in but the meal was very yummy and so was the waiter. He pulled the "you must be sisters" act on us which Mom loved. Little did he know I was the one who'd be parcelling out his tip! HURUMPF. Funny how I like it when they say that about me and Tara.

Walking along the Boardwalk we saw some fireworks. I thought it was Illuminations, Mom said she recognized Fantasmic. I let her be right..just this once.

Yepper! We love Cape May! :teeth: You should be there when m'boys are in town and they head over for dinner! Disney surely loses money on that crew. :teeth:

Another nice bit Rosie. Oh, and don't feel bad about the white cotton grannies. My Mom wears 'em too. :teeth:

I'll never tell!...but I still have nightmares about it...
