OMgosh! You're pictures are amazing!! If they look this good on line, I can only imagine how great they are in person.

We're in CT, too, about an hour from you.

We stayed at CR last trip. Great hotel!!

Thanks for sharing!

In preparation for writing my own trip report, I've been going back and reading ones I've missed. You sound like you had an awesome time and your photos are fantastic! I only hope my photos turn out as well. Thanks for sharing!

I love the photos! Thanks for posting the link. It was great being able to just click next for each report instead of having to look for each day on the board. It sounds like you had a wonderful time.

Great pictures and trip report. Is that a combination digital camera and videorecorder or do you have separate pieces? I am looking for a combo as my videorecorder is old. We just purchased a dig camera. Would you recommend a combo? Thanks.

Thanks for the compliments guys! I appreicate em!

wilderness01,

I don't use any combo cameras and I actually recommend that people avoid them. I have a dedicated video camera for video and a few dedicated digital cameras for still shots. I'd recommend buying a good Mini DV video camera and use it in addition to your digital camera. We have pictures of our cameras on our website, just click on the OUR CAMERAS link on the front page. I have found that a digital camera that can do videos never does videos as good as a video camera and vice-versa.

Most video cameras don't provide more than 1 or 2 megapixels for still shots and the quality never is as good as a good digital camera because the CCD is designed to work best for video and not stills. My waterproof digital camera does do some psuedo-videos, however we only use that feature more for fun than anything else since the videos are really tiny and not full frame video quality.

So, my advice is just to find a great video camera that takes great videos and use it in combination with your digital camera.

Hopefully that helps. If not, don't hesitate to ask me other questions.
