The plan was to squeeze as much as we could out of of our last day and we certainly did!
We were at the Park for the start of EMH. Practically empty! We headed straight for Dumbo and did that twice, then proceeded to do everything that was open (Twice)- Teacups, Pinocchio, Carousel, Teacups and a small world. We tried to do Buzz but it was closed for technical reasons.
The day was looking promising weather wise so our aim was to finally explore adventureland and Frontierland. We were at Frontierland for ropedrop and headed straight for BTM. I wasn't sure if this was suitable for DS 5- I was worried that maybe it was too fast/scary. Anyway we took him to watch it and he seemed really keen so nervously we decided to give it ago......his reaction after screaming along with me the whole of the ride? "Again. again again" - so we did it again and then Fast Passed it for before lunch! I think it's supassed POC and Buzz as his new favourite- he'd have done nothing but that all day if given a chance! We had a good explore of Frontierland and the experience was enhanced by the fact that the sun came out! Hurray! We waited in line to meet Chip and Dale who really played around with DS- pinching his hat and then his pen- he had a real giggle with them. Then it was our 12.15 booked lunch at Lucky Nugget. I couldn't believe how quiet and relaxed it was. Loads of characters came to our table- Baloo, Tigger, Friar Tuck, Eeyore and Pinocchio. There was enough choice on the buffet for all of us to find something we liked (though some dishes, especially the desserts seemed to go superfast) and I was very happy to see vegtables!
This was our last day so we were on a mission to fill DS autograph book so after lunch we went off to Woody's round up where there was no queue at all to meet the man himself and Jessie the Cowgirl.!
DS then had a lovely time exploring Adventure Isle- though I think he was braver than me going across the big bouncy rope bridge in the wind! So lovely though to have the sun! After spending a good time outdoors in Adventureland we thought it would be rude not to visit POC -so we did!
We hadn't yet seen the character express so we headed to the Plaza to catch it on the half hour. We really enjoyed it and were delighted to see Buzz on board. So when he got off we followed him (o.k chased him) into Discoveryland. This was the worst character meet. Even though my son was one of the first, older children (and some parents) were pushing to get in front. The CM in charge of him seemed quite stressed so I don't know if this pushing usually happens with Buzz and he kept saying that Buzz wouldn't sign autographs (even though he physically could). Is this a Buzz thing or a Character Express rule? Anyway finally the hero took charge and pulled DS forward and it was actually the best photo of the holiday (wish I could post it but I can't even work out how to put on smiley faces lol!)
As we were in Discoveryland we had to try to do the Buzz ride again .It was open- yippee. We also did Star tours which again was a hit and then Buzz again.
The rest of the Afternoon went like this....Parade, BTM , Riverboat trip, BTM (lol 5 times in one day!) POC- Again. Finally found Alice's Labyrinth open and then DS wanted one last Buzz before Candlebration. We didn't really know where to stand for this so although we had a good view of Mickey and the gang when they arrived,(we were at the Plaza very close to the castle) they had their backs to us when dancing so if you're going for the first time have your backs to Main Street and stand with the stage in front of you and the castle in the background!
We finished the day and the autograph book in Cafe Mickey (Mickey, Goofy, Gepetto, and Pluto). We could only get a reservation for 7.45 and suprise suprise DS was a little too tired to fully appreciate it -though the atmosphere was really good and the characters on top form. Due to the lateness of the hour (o.k longness of the day!) we only had main courses (delicious and the best of the holiday for DS) it was still worth it though because after spending two and a half days in "The House of the Mouse" we finally got to meet Mickey himself!

Sounds like you had a fab time, glad to hear your son finally got to meet Buzz!:cheer2:

A great last day. :goodvibes

I've read others having difficulty getting Buzz's autograph/photograph. It's a shame he doesn't still have an official photo spot ~ after all he is very popular.

yes i agree elaine, they should give buzz his own spot, maybe give him sulleys spot (my own opinion of course!) as with 2 toy stoy films he's bound to be a more popular character than sulley overall.

I loved reading your TR thanks for sharing your memories with us! Sounds like a wonderfully packed day!

Thanks for taking the time to post your trip report, I have really enjoyed reading it and it has really given me a buzz for my own trip.

Lovely trip report. I agree with you on the suspension bridge - I have no probs with TOT but suspension bridge in the wind -Nooooooooooooooo Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Maybe when the new Toy Story film comes out he'll have a bigger presence and I wouldn't be surprised if there's a new photoshoot with him in WDS - Fingers crossed for all Buzz fans. :goodvibes

A lovely final day Skala, thanks for sharing your trip :goodvibes
