Trip Report: Disney's Vero Beach Resort

I spent a long weekend at Disney's Vero Beach resort and wanted to share

Overall, I have to say that it was a great experience! I booked rather last minute, and was able to get an ocean view hotel room for four days and three nights. The room was on the 3rd floor (of four stories) and larger than I'd imagined - two HUGE queen sized beds, a "sitting area" and kitchenette - and of course, the windows facing the ocean were phenomenal It also had a little patio facing the pool area.

The service was top-notch - and all in all, the resort was in good shape! The beach had suffered erosion the last time I was there due to the hurricanes, but it appears that Disney has since brought in new sand - so now there's actually a nice little beach to enjoy! The room was in good shape - clean and tidy - nothing broken or worn...

Rich and I always thought that Vero would be a bit too quiet for our taste - but I have to say that it's actually sooooo relaxing - we really didnt know what we were missing! There are many good restaurants off property - Captain Hiram's was my favorite - they had live music, a river view and some of the best crab cakes and steamed clams that I've had in a long time

I will definitely go back to Vero...such a lovely place and so close to home!

BTW, my next trip will be to Saratoga Springs at the end of the month (unfortunately OKW GV's were booked up)....so I'll keep ya all posted on that trip.

Glad to read your report and I'm sensing in your words that Rich would approve of both the size of the rooms and the quality of the location and activity or lack thereof. Hope you have an equally nice trip to SSR.

I'm glad you had such a great stay at VB, it's one of our home resorts and we love it too! Captain Hiram's is our favorite area restaurant too!

PS. Do you have a GV at SSR? We went to the open house there, and they are gorgeous too!

LOL! Actually, the hallways are not as long as BWV's but um, I did think about it as I walked to my room! As you all know, my heart will always favor OKW

Thanks for the report. We're headed down there in a few weeks and staying for a whole week Vero is our favorite place to be. We have been alternating lately between 1bdrm and Inn room. We really love the sight and sound of the ocean from the inn room, and really love the full kitchen of the 1bdrm. Wish they had Inn rooms with 1 queen and sleeper sofa instead of 2 queens.
