During the night, we had noticed that our bathroom smelt of cigarette smoke, as if someone was smoking in another room and it was coming through the ventilation. It wasn't a problem, we just made sure the door was always closed, but I did write it on the comments card - just in case they thought it was us!
Anyway, we wake up at 7am - yay it's not raining - and head for the park for 8am - oh dear, now it's raining!
We go on Peter Pan, Carousel, Pinocchio and the Teacups of which DD enjoyed them all with only a minimal amount of hands over ears. We decide to try Buzz before our Fantasyland breakfast, but when we get to the disabled access there is no one there. DH goes and asks a cast member, and they just shrug their shoulders at us  . So we give up and decide to try and get in for breakfast a bit early.
Breakfast is good, DD is very happy with the food options and we sit in the restaurant until the rain stops.
I decide that we should try Pirates Of The Caribbean - whoops! Big mistake! DD hates it and is hysterical about the drops/splashing - so we quickly make our way back to Small, Small World as compensation - en route we spy Pooh Bear but DD doesn't want to talk to him. As we get on SSW, it begins to pour with rain again, so on the way out we take a look around the little France Telecom room with the houses in - well DD loves it and we have to go round twice looking in all the windows! By the time we come out it has stopped raining!
DD has started to ask to see Mickey Mouse, so we go to the meet and greet (via the Dragon for DH), but the queue is too long.
We head over to Cafe Hyperion to find our seats for Lion King and order some lunch, but the food is revolting and cold! However, the show is good. DD found it rather loud and cried a couple of times because she couldn't cover her ears and eat her food at the same time! She did like 'Hakuna Matata' though! (After the show we suddenly realise we are sitting under a speaker).
After lunch DH has a quick go on Star Tours as there is no queue and Star Wars is his favourite and then we head back to the hotel. On the way DD falls asleep in her pushchair so we do some browsing in the shops in the village.
By the time we get back to the hotel, DD is awake and wants to go swimming, so we go to the hotel pool which is very quiet, and although a bit chilly, we have a good time splashing about and it makes a nice change!
We have a drink in the bar and glimpse Mickey walking past - by this time DD is desperate to see him, so we book a character breakfast at Cafe Mickey.
We went back to the room to change and rest and then at 6pm head out to Planet Hollywood for dinner :sad2: . The food was awful and expensive. We had the chicken bits for starter which were completely over fried and burnt, and then I had pasta with chicken and brocolli which was cold and tasted horrible - I didn't eat it. DH had the ribs which he said were OK. DD had a cheese and ham sandwich (surprise, surprise) and some carrot sticks instead of fries - there are only so many times I will let my daughter eat fries!
When we finished, we went back to the hotel and me and DD went to bed while DH went for a couple more drinks at the bar.

Sorry you had such bad luck with the food!

We've always been lucky, but then on our last trip we ate twice at Annette's, and a meal in the Cinderella restaurant. We also had a meal at Belle Notte which was okay too!

Our only bad experience was at Victoria's, we wouldn't go there again!

In hindsight, I think we were desperately trying to avoid burgers and fries for every meal, which is why we didn't go to Annette's, but next time I would rather have a good cheeseburger than a rubbish chicken thing or rubbish pasta! I have to say that the food we bought at the Deli on Main Street was very good, and worth the money.

Hiya, looks like you fitted in a lot of rides in the morning!! :thumbsup2
Again a shame about the food ....:confused3

What a shame about your food. :sad2: I have read lots of bad reviews about Planet Hollywood but then again, others have been there and had a fabulous meal. We are probably going to try there next trip, I just hope we won't be as unfortunate as you.

You managed to do a lot of rides:goodvibes . Sorry to hear about the food, did you try complaining? I have eaten in PH a couple of times and it has been fine, but like all restaurants they can be hit and miss. I know how a bad meal can spoil the evening.
