We have a character breakfast set up for 8:00 a.m. Up early and at the front bus stop by 7:10. The character bus is right on time to pick us up. The bus stopped first at the TTC and then on to the Contemporary. We make the seating right on time. We always have breakfast at Chef Mickey's on each visit. DD really enjoys it. We are seated right away. The characters are out promptly. The food is good as usual. We do have one big problem! We are waiting for Pluto and Goofy. And we wait. We finally ask along with the others around us, if they are coming. The waitress informed us that a family with a couple of small children with full BLOWN cases of chicken pox have just seen Pluto and Goofy. They had to take characters out to change and clean up. I guess there was a small matter with the management and surrounding families not too happy. They did apologize to us for the time we waited. It did not matter to us but I am sure the people waiting to eat were not too happy. We had fun. All of the other tables in our section were chanting for the characters. It did get alittle loud. The kids were having fun.
It was off to the hotel to head to the waterparks. We decided to go for a few hours. DD was on a mission to buy a princess dress at DTD.
It is now time to go to the Magic Kingdom to find our spot for the Spectromagic and the fireworks. Now this is a chore! They are only having this on one night during our visit. And we knew it was going to be busy. We arrived at 5:00 and hopped on a couple of rides. It is time to have some dinner at Pecos Bills. By 7:00 we had found a spot for the parade. We sat next to some really nice people and talked to them for awhile. Also some people from England. They were leaving the next day with a 9 hour flight. Yuck! Now I have to tell you, I do not know how some of the CM's handle some poeple. It is time for the parade and one poor CM has a lady just yelling at her because she does not have a seat for the parade and the fireworks. And I mean she is yelling. The CM is just doing her job and clearing the streets for the parade. I did find on this visit that there were some rude people trying to find seats for all of the parades. I mean rude!
It is literally packed for the parade and the fireworks. knowing from past experiences, we found a spot by the castle so all we had to do after the parade was stand up and watch the fireworks. The park did stay open after the fireworks and were having another show of Spectromagic. We walked over to Peter Pan, there was a wait and walked on It's A Small World. One last time to shop on Main Street.
Even if the park hours are shorter, I still think they should have more nights with the parade and fireworks. There were alot of people complaining.
