OK, Monday. DH now has a big grudge against Mickey, so alarm went off at 6:30. DH and I went to Pepper Market for coffee/breakfast, and then I went to my conference until 11:30 (aren't you all impressed? I have the willpower of...of...someone with a lot of willpower. Really, you should all be very impressed - how many of YOU would be able to put down your Parkhopper pass and attend a conference for 4 hours, knowing that while you are being all industrious, the lines are growing...)

By 1, we are at AK, where we got a FP for the Safari, which we'd missed on Saturday, and went to Tusker House for lunch. We rode the Safari, walked over to take a look at Expedition Everest (which MAY actually offer some roller coaster-style competition to ED and hopefully will not be "pants"). Then back to Epcot, where we walked on to Mission Space (unbelievably incredible!!!!) and waited for about 10 minutes for Test Track.

We were booked for the 4:30 Divequest, so we had to be at Guest services at 4:15. This was really a neat tour for 8-10 certified scuba divers - it basically consists of a brief tour of Living Seas, a video that says not to touch anything in the aquarium, you donning their equipment (the only stuff you're allowed to bring with you is a mask - I surprised DH with a new mask that morning), and scuba diving in the Living Seas aquarium for 45 minutes. We had a great time - the dives correspond with peak dining hours at the Coral Reef, so we had a lot of fun waving to people who were eating dinner. Don't know that I'll do it again, but for a one-time thing, definitely entertaining. DH was very happy - I gave him a big smooch, wished him happy average-age-of-PI-patron-times-two birthday, and then we caught a bus back to CSR.

We ate at Maya Grill for dinner. This place gets pretty lukewarm reviews, but I have to say, we really enjoyed it. The food was lovely - we split the pulled pork empanada, DH had filet mignon, and I had the special (blackened rare tuna with scallops and shrimp - which was not at all salty, by the way - with sweet potato mash), then we had the chocolate meringues layered with chocolate mousse and raspberry sauce for dessert. YUM. OK, the service wasn't so great - they were not big fans of taking away dishes, so we wound up with quite a collection by the end of the meal - but with that much chocolate in me, I was totally indifferent towards our stack of plates.

I saw several work colleagues making a mess out of themselves and generally misrepresenting the average science geek in the bar, but DH was having none of that. I was dragged past the bar and back to the room.

Tuesday am - again, alarm. I attended more work stuff (say it - you're all so impressed with my strict sense of responsibility!!), then we headed to the airport. SWA back - this time, a long preboarding line filled with toddlers, so we couldn't say much about it. Flight back uneventful...and back to the house, where we were greeted by snow in the front yard. Insert expletive.

OK, so that's that. I will likely not go back fo a while - but that's OK, as I now own every Disney Xmas ornament made. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or whatever.
